Hello fellows... Machu Picchu Inn is completely renewed. Big rooms with LCD TV, what surprised us a lot. I was a little afraid due these photos from here, but everything is different and new now there. New lobby, new cafeteria, etc. If you go there, dont forget to ask a piece of chocolate pie, it's incredible. more

This place seems to have had a complete make over. It no longer looks anything like the photos on this site (my new ones to follow). Its bright and airy now! Great location, friendly staff - would totally recommed. I cant comment on the value for money as it was booked as part of a package. The best thing must... more

We really enjoyed our stay in this hotel. The room was very clean and comfortable. The staff were super and could not do enough for us. The hotel is undergoing renovation at present but this did not cause any problems. From the plans it will be a really super hotel when finished. It is in a great location - a... more

I am from the Philadelphia area and I recently went to Peru with friends who hiked the 4 days on the Inca Trail. I had stayed behind in Cusco and planned on taking the train to Aguas Calientes to meet them when they arrived. Due to farmer's strikes, Perurail shut down, as did most of the transportation, for 2 days... more

We expected the worst having read a few negative reviews, but were pleasantly surprised by a basic but clean hotel and a very good breakfast. After all, most people probably spend very little time in a hotel in Aguas Callientes, as you don't go there for a hotel with a great pool scene. It had all the necessities and we... more

Is there another MP Inn? Reading the reviews here I think there must be! The one I stayed in was brilliant. Our rooms were fantastic. Huge bed and a separate lounge area. I may be seeing the hotel through rose tinted specs as we had just walked for 7 hours and were soaking wet but I thought it was the... more

we were prepared for this one from reading other reviews.unfortunately there are not to many places to stay in this town(which smells like its burning). This place needs a serious face lift. The towel racks are falling off the walls and the closet smells like mold(maybe because the ceilings are growing mold)The locks on the windows are useless and it... more

Hello, I just returned from a fantastic trip to Peru. Among other things, we stayed overnight in Aquas Callientes in Machu Picchu Inn. Both my husband and I are well travelled, and we have travel to third world countries (especially me). But this hotel even surprised me.... The exterior of the hotel and the front lobby are very nice, so... more

I have never seen a more stark contrast in my life – gorgeous, majestic surroundings but the ugliest town I’ve visited. It is so disappointing that this town, with its dumpy hotels and restaurants, is the gateway to one of the most beautiful places on Earth. In Aguas Calientes, the base town to Machu Picchu, you basically have three options... more

My brother and I wanted to spend two days exploring the beautiful sites of Machu Picchu, so we booked an overnight stay in Aguas Calientes. We reserved online not knowing much about this hotel. In summary, this hotel has average amenities, an excellent location and the price seemed OK. POSITIVES: 1. Location: This hotel is directly on the main street... more
