Of all the help we received, Omar of the Concierge services was the most helpful! We thought we had booked our tickets to Machu Picchu tickets online and were all set to enter the park. NOT SO! They were only reservations! I swear my credit card was charged and will check upon returning to the states. Upon explaining our situation... More

this is an amazing hotel right beside the Machu Pichu citadel ruins. The hotel is fantastic, has a spa (it's really good to have a massage after climbing the Wayna Pichu mountain) and a restarant that serve very good comfort meals. We also attended a Pisco workshop at the bar, where we learned how to make all sorts of pisco... More

The only option if you want to stay in Machu Picchu. Rooms are small for a hotel of this category. We had a room with views over Machu Picchu and balcony. The view in itself is not exactly to Machu Picchu but to its adjacent mountains. The terrace is shared among other rooms except for a semi-private balcony. we definetly... More

We spent one night at this hotel right outside the gates of Machu Picchu. What a great location! Wonderful staff throughout the hotel. We were fortunate to have paid for a package which included the room and three meals. Although it was expensive we would do it again in a heart beat! The room was not huge and was not... More

We could not have asked for a better experience. We visited for my boyfriend's birthday. Steps to the citadel, we were able to get sunrise pictures of the ruins. For dinner, we were unlimited in our order, as it was all-inclusive. so when I was considering another glass of wine, the server encouraged me to get another BOTTLE of wine... More

If you are looking for comfort when you visit Machu Picchu, you MUST stay in this hotel. It is literally next door to Machu Picchu. It is not "cheap" and getting there involves riding a crowded bus through the mountains on a curvy road (which you have to take anyway to get to Machu Picchu). Everything else about it is... More

Belmond Sancrtuary Lodge exceeded our expectations. Travel Concierge Juan Carlos was very helpful prior to our arrival and during our stay. There was a young woman, an employee of the lodge, that gave us a tour of the landscape grounds and orchid farm, sorry I can't remember her name but she was outstanding and knowledgeable.

Machu Picchu was the last destination of our Peru tour and if it was not this Belmond hotel the whole trip could be spoiled. Machu Picchu itself is one of a kind and I would still call it the main attraction of Peru. But this place doesn't like tourists. First of all you have to take a 4 hour train... More

We visited with our two children and were very impressed with the hotel. The location is perfect for access to the citadel. The service and staff were first class. We were greeted by name each time, any request was quickly completed, and they even arranged a physician and medication delivery when we unexpectedly needed it. The restaurant was fantastic with... I would like to start the review by saying GREAT JOB!! by Belmond. This lodge is owned by the goverment and rented by Belmond. Because of where it is located Belmond can not enlarge or make any major renovations. What they have done and do here is amazing considering the remoteness of the lodge. Everything and everyone was "first class"... More
