Ok so some have complained about the price or the quality of the rooms but this all boils down to location. I can only say the best value is to get the full board. Meals in both restaurants are excellent and with dinner you can select from a nice wine list. Service is very good and the staff friendly. It... More

There are a lot of negative comments on TA about this hotel. I’m not too surprised, considering how expensive it is. No matter who they are, where they come from or what they normally spend on hotels – everyone EXPECTS to have a fantastic experience for $1,000+ a night. As a member of the luxury Belmond Hotel group, hotel staff... More

By staying at the lodge, you can take your time enjoy Machu Picchu without all the tourist groups. You can take photos without being photo bombed. This is what you pay for and it's worth every dollar. The lodge itself is average and need some renovation. The restaurant is excellent and we enjoyed the buffet.

The Lodge is at the entrance to Machu Picchu.. Walk 100 metres from your front door and you are there. This means that you are in the park before the hordes arrive on their buses and you can remain in the park after the hordes have left to catch their buses. The rooms were acceptable but not upmarket. The package... More

This hotel is awesome. I read all the negatives and I don't get it. You are 100 yds or less from the entrance to Machu Piccu! The service was great, and yes there was construction noise, but not at night or during dining hours. We had breakfast, lunch and dinner at the lodge and all the meals were great. The... More

Expensive place to stay but you can't beat the location. On arrival day our lunch experience was not good. Sandwiches with dry bread and raw meet. Soup was cold as well. Staff was friendly but rooms small.

We had a much less than stellar experience from arrival to departure. Check in: Felt as if we were treated as a nuisance rather than a valued customer by check in staff. Rushed through the check in process with no explanation as to what was or wasn't included in our stay purchased through our tour operator. We were never informed,... More

The place is pricey but the location makes it worth it. Very good staff and service. Food was excellent. They have a day room where you can shower after your checkout and tour of MP. Hot tub with view of MP and Huayna Picchu.

A spectacular location next to the entrance to Machu Picchu. The hotel has clean and comfortable rooms. We had a fantastic dinner and were on the trails before the sun came up. Expensive, but worth it.

What better place place to relax after a day on Machu Picchu. The rooms are comfortable, the dining room food outstanding and the wait staff attentive. Ask for Juan if you can. He speaks English and is willing to make your dining experience perfect. Accommodations on MP are limited, so they have the corner on the market, but don't settle... More
