We have just finished out stay at Gringo Bills! As we arrived in Aguas Calientes without a place to stay, we were lucky enough to stumble upon this gem. It is very centrally located, we were also able to view our room choices before we decided to stay. Private room, private bath. Also a great open, airy feel to the... More

The hotel is on the main square, it is clean enough and is quite charming. The position really makes a difference as the majority of the hotels are far away form the main square. We did not have time to have breakfast in the morning as we had to leave very early for the excursion to Machu Pichu so they... More

I loved my stay at this small boutique hotel. The person who met me at the train station was friendly and described the areas of the town we walked through as we walked from the station to the hotel. The foliage and open air atmosphere of much of the hotel was wonderful and refreshing. I loved all the artwork on... More

This is the type of place you want to like when you read the description. The problem is that they don't have half of the amenities that they boast to have. There is no onsite restaurant or bar. There are the remnants of what used to be a pool, but it was green and moldy when we were there. The... More

We were recommended this hotel, but not sure if the management changed or what happened. The place is moldy, dark and eerie. The room was such that we could not wait to leave. Overal, very depressing experience. Also, overpriced.

The location was great! Pretty close to the train station and bus that takes you up to Machu Picchu, all the main restaurants and pubs, hot springs and main plAZA . I may add this is also one block away from the INC( where you can directly and SAFELY buy the entrance tickets to Machu Picchu) this is the official... More

Upon first sight, it seemed like it was going to be awesome.... Then we noticed the pool and hot tub were not operational. Then we didn't have hot water - a big jacuzzi in the room is useless with Luke warm water (late evening). In the morning we were never able to get hot water at all and had to... More

Hotel was a little hard to find, it's tucked away in a corner off a plaza, but just ask and the locals can easily direct you. Staff were generally kind and helpful with a select few who were less enthusiastic than we had come to expect. The room was basic, but clean, and ours had nice view of the town... More

The bed was comfortable and the hotel was quiet and conveniently located. The room was cold and had a musty smell. You may get some warm water in the evening (some), but not likely in the morning. My shower was labeled on the tile in magic marker "hot" and "cold." I would not recommend this place.

Dear Janice S., Thank you for the feedback. We have resolved this issue with better signage and maintenance. I apologize for the temporary hot water issue at that moment. Hope we can serve you or your friends on future visits to Machupicchu. More

I accidentally stumbled upon this place and it was nothing but wonderful. Larry and his staff are all extremely friendly and welcoming. After backpacking around Peru it was a luxury to stay in such a clean, quiet and beautiful hotel. Best nights sleep i've had in two months. I would highly recommend this place to anyone. Oh, also the WiFi... More
