Unique, quirky, pleasant place to stay on way to Machu Picchu. Friendly, helpful staff accommodated 14 in our party. Rooms ranged from standard doubles to Huge suite, all with hot showers and comfy beds. Lovely breakfast starting at 5am - bag lunches ready at 5:30am to take to Machu Picchu ( ordered day before) and luggage storage rounded out a... More

This was a very unique hotel- obviously built up and up over the years (vertically). So the rooms were all different, some with private baths, others without. It was cold in August and the only heater was a space heater in the bathroom-The four blankets on the bed were helpful, but it was still cold. Very clean!! Right near all... More

If you are looking for clean, roomy, hot shower, super friendly staff, comfortable room/mattress/duvet, convenience location, reasonable price and quietness? Make sure you stay at Gringo Bills! We had a terrible experience with an expensive hotel near the train track upon arrival, we were so frustrated and angry, so we just left! when we walked through the square, notice Gingo... More

For travelers coming to Machu Pichu, please note that the town of Agua Calientes is 100% driven by tourism. Every single foreign is there for only one reason and that is to see the ruins. As a result prices for hotels, food, and gifts are all expensive. We read some reviews that advised travelers to "pay more for lodging its... More

When my girlfriend and I checked into Gringo Bill's, we were so pleasantly surprised at how nice the hotel is--hot water in the showers, private bathroom, incredibly comfortable bed, and large, varied breakfast provided. After spending two weeks in Ollantaytambo and Cusco hostels, it was really nice to have the space and such a nice establishment. The only downside for... More

We arrived at Agua Calientes and were taken to the hotel by our guide. We checked in, dropped off our bags, and then continued onto the bus for our ride to Machu Picchu. At Gringo Bill's we had a family room which consisted of two separate rooms, with a bathroom in the middle. It was very adequate for us for... More

The location is excellent and the staff was nice, however the rooms are not good and nothing works. In short I hated my stay there. We had no hot water, no a/c and we told the staff and they said give us one hour time after time. Pay more and stay somewhere else is my advice.

Taking into account that one does not receive much for their money in this town, perhaps this is an acceptable hotel for some. For my wife and I, frankly this place sucks! Yes the area is always humid so expect humidity - for me that doesn't include mold,or a faucet that leaks hot water 24x7. I couldn't imagine paying $250... More

I stayed at Gringo Bills in May 2012, so this post may be a little bit outdated. Gringo Bills is on the main square of Aguas Calinetes tucked up in an alley way. Our accommodation was good, a comfy bed, hot shower, and decent breakfast. This is basically as good as it gets and as close as it gets to... More

Gringo Bill's hotel is right in the square of Agus Calientes and was wonderful! My stay for 6 nights included breakfast in the morning. The staff was very kind and helpful in explaining what more the area has to office along with of course visiting/hiking Machu Picchu. I highly suggest staying for a couple of days to visit the hot...
