The rooms are basic, and the front reception staff were nearly useless (and rude), but the grounds are lovely plus the public areas (bar, lounge + restaurant) are very nice. Food was very good, rather than excellent. There are lots of slightly less comfortable hotels, but much cheaper. This hotel will likely appeal most to over 50s seeking soft adventure. more

Everything about this was fabulous! Not only is it beautiful but the smell is just incredible in itself. We have never taken so many photograhs of a hotel and its grouds. Stayed here for one night after visiting Machu Piccu.
