This is a great, inexpensive hostel in Barranco. Barranco is a great barrio in Lima full of excellent restaurants, bars & clubs. The Inn is situated on the palisade and many of the rooms have a view of the Pacific. The owner, Chris is very friendly & helpful. Unfortunately, the paid staff was downright unfriendly. Too bad because I would... More

Nice hostel, great value, and extremely hospitable staff. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Hot Showers. Full kitchen available for guests. The courtyard is a great place to enjoy a beer (which they have available there). And the location is in a safe area and a short walk away from the ocean. It is much cheaper than trying to stay... We spent 2 nights at Barranco's in October. The first night was in a twin that was comfortable with a decent bathroom, our other night was in a 6 bed 'delux' dorm which again had comfortable beds and a decent bathroom. The only issue we had with the rooms was with closing the windows, which didn't seem to shut properly,... More

I enjoyed this Backpackers. Only spent one night there but the rooms were clean and the staff friendly and helpful. The location is great, there are great restaurants nearby. The breakfast was basic but sufficient.

+ great location close to Barranco Square, relaxed atmosphere, excellent staff. - breakfast very basic, lots of places to sit but no real common area to hang out in the hostel, if people are loud in the small bar the whole place can hear it, wifi up and down, sometimes it was slow and woudnt connect! Overall a very nice... More

* comfortable beds * friendly staff * clean * small breakfast, two bread rolls with butter and jam, a banana and tea/coffee * decent little kitchen * sea view from some rooms * showers could be better, hot water ran out after a couple of people had showered * kinda quiet - not the best for party people but good... We arrived to Barranco Backpacker's late afternoon after a long day of travelling. We were greeted by a frowning lady who demanded "reservasion?" and "nombres". She otherwise didn't say a word to us as she showed us to the room. Yes we are clearly not native Spanish speakers, but when I say to someone "buenas tardes, como esta?" it would... More

Pros: Located in a safe area of Lima, good starting point to explore, bars/restaurants nearby while only 6/10s to Miraflores. Staff are friendly (especially Daisy) and happy to help with any queries. Rooms were big, lockers, good shower pressure and 24 hour hot water. Cons: Not a 'party' hostel at all, but still noisy (outside noise, late night wanderers, thin... More

My girlfriend and I stayed here during three nights while visiting Lima for the first time. We got a room with twin beds and a private bathroom on the second floor. It had a tv, a window with (not the best, but still nice) ocean view, good mattresses and lockers. The hostel has an average communal kitchen, showers with hot... More

My gf and I stayed here for 3 nights. We stayed in the corner room upstairs that had a nice breeze and was quiet for Lima. Really enjoyed the laid back vibe in Barrancos. There are some decent bars nearby and you can't get any closer to the beach. Owner and front desk were very helpful although the overnight lady... More
