cLima was the starting point for our group of 5 travellers, where we hoped to acclimatize before heading to historic sites. Lima itself was a bit of a shocker with its crazy drivers and nonstop action, but the hotel was in a quiet area, close to restaurants and the city centre and also markets. The hotel itself was very modern... More

I was a bit concerned when my company booked me at this charming hotel by some of the reviews. What a pleasant surprise. Airport pickup by a wonderful gentleman Augusto Mazer, who took great care of me from airport to hotel. The rooms are small, but adequate. VERY CLEAN....comfortable bed, good quiet air conditioner. Carpet new, and spotlessly clean. Great... More

El Ducado is a small hotel hidden in the narrow streets in Miraflores. The staff was generally polite and some of them spoke fairly good English, which helps a lot in terms of providing proper direction to attractions and translation for us.. The LOCATION was very good, close to the shopping mall, restaurants, and major banks. Free WIFI was provided,... More

I normally would not have booked hotel El Ducado. However I ended up here because of a large event taking place in Lima and the four/five star hotels where I usually stay did not have any availability. Obviously there is a difference between these hotels and El Ducado. Rates are therefore less expensive but if feels a bit pricey for... More

El Ducado is a small hotel in Miraflores (ca. 45 hour by bus/Taxi) from the city centre. From the outside it looks like any other average hotel, but inside there is a charming patio with a fountain, a small terrace (for smokers if you are one) Breakfast is simple (rolls, jam, butter, tea or coffee) but you can order additional... I did not like my stay at this hotel at all. The front yard and lobby/dining area looks nice, but the rooms are old with stained carpets, cramped bathrooms, and very old, sunken-in beds with bedding that's pilling so badly that it's itchy to sleep in. The bathroom was oddly designed (had a very long layout) with very little space... More

The location between the center of Miraflores and the beach is very comfortable. The rooms are small and the bathrooms very small (no chance to stay in here with 2 adults). The staircases are definitely not made for tall Europeans, you have to be careful with your head on every landing. Security is high on the agenda, big fence and... More

For the price Hotel El Ducado is great. Walking distance to Lacomar, the coast, Kennedy/Central parks, hospitals, markets, good food, etc. It is also fenced in and the gate is controlled by the front desk, so it is pretty safe. Our room was clean and had hot showers. The breakfast area is very nice as well. It Is not on... More

We had a 4 day seminar in another hotel in Miraflores (a five star and much more expensive). We were 3 and looking for a close location to sleep. El Ducado turned to be a good choice. We had a 3 bed room with a view to the patio, so we had quiet nights. Beds were bigger than single and... More

this hotel advertises itself as being near the beach - it is if you discount the 150' cliff that it sits on and the 4 lane highway that you have to cross in order to get to the shingle. The breakfast is only juice and bread and jam but there is plenty of it and the bread is fresh. No... More
