What a terrific find! La Posada de Parque was exactly what you hope to find when looking for a respite from busy travels. Outside, it is an eye-appealing structure at the end of cul-de-sac in a truly beautiful neighborhood. Inside, it is tastefully decorated and comfortable. The lobby is impressive, as is the salon. The dining area and adjacent patio... more

We all enjoyed the stay coming and going from other parts of the country. The staff also recovered and shipped my eyeglasses when they were left behind. more

Best to steer clear of this place. The hotel itself is OK...fairly basic, but has some character and some very nice staff members, but the management itself borders on shady. They quote all of their prices in US dollars, but then only accept payment in local currency, but the trick is that they fudge the exchange rate numbers so that... more

The hotel is by very friendly and helpful people. Everything appears professional and well organized. The rooms are all different, with own nice atmosphere. Clean and well maintained. We highly appreciated the safe in the room and the free internet access via two PCs in the lobby. The location is located in a quite street in an very cool university... more

The first thing you notice about this hotel upon arriving is that the bright and airy facade of the building's exterior does not extend into the rooms. This is an older colonial building, and you wouldn't expect large windows, however the feeling of darkness is greatly exacerbated by the dark brown carpet and the dark coloured bed covers. Our room... more

I booked this hotel because of the location, which I liked, and the photo of the exterior. However once inside your room, welcome to prison! I had a view of a block wall about a foot away from the window topped with broken glass. The room was small, bedding and carpet thin. As others noted, signs say to throw the... more

This hotel was tolerable for one night coming and one night departing Peru, but we can't recommend it. The rooms we stayed in were tiny, damp, musty, and poorly lit. We had been warned about the breakfast, which is not included, so ate elsewhere. The antiques around the common areas in this old home are interesting, but the lighting is... more

We booked this hostal because the Frommer's Peru book gave them probably best review and star comparing to other hostals listed in the book. They are totally wrong and I will not buy Frommer guide book anymore because of this. Here is my story. We stayed here for the last 2 days of our 10-day trip in Peru (so we... more

This is a charming, quiet hotel centrally located and near a great park. We walked to the park and went to the art gallery, had an outdoor lunch, and watched the boats on the lake and especially the people. From this hotel we hired a driver to take us to the zoo, some ruins out of town, museums and other... more

I've stayed in La Posada no less than 6 times over the last 5 years. Every time I've had a good experience. The staff has been basically the same over this period of time. They are all trustworthy and reliable. Once I had a dental problem and Donna Pochita (mother of the owner) contacted her family dentist who saw me... more
