We arrived in Peru and spent our first night here. We had a taxi pickup from the airport arranged through the hostel over the internet. We stayed in a very large room with a sitting area, two beds, a hammock and a bathroom. The shower was warm and had good pressure. The room itself had large wooden floors and high... More

The best feature of this hostel is Kalua... the dog, lovely. The staff is friendly and very helpful. There is free internet and 2 free computers. Although the hostel is not fancy at all, it is a big house with a nice backyard and cool open spaces. The kitchen is excellent (very well-equipped) and the breakfast is Ok for a... More

This is a lovely hostel with a great location for getting around Lima & for its atmosphere. The staff & the lovely gardens are the biggest assets - you should ask for a room at the back the ones on the street are noisy

Needed a place to stay in Lima for a night with some friends and fortunately they had an opening for us here. We stayed in the dorms with a few other people. The rooms were clean enough but the beds were not too comfortable. They felt old. The showers were impractical. There was no where I could put my toiletries... More

When we walked into Home Peru we were pleasantly surprised. The building looks a little rundown on the outside (although they were painting the exterior while we were there, so it looked better when we left!), but on the inside the main building is large and decorated with original items. Antonio on reception was incredibly helpful and a really lovely... More

Located near Plaza Vea on Arequipa, just uptown on the corner from the Alliance Francaise. The best feature of the location is that the Arequipa combis are easy to take between the center and Miraflores. Expect traffic noise, although my single room wih private bath was in the back and on the side street and not very noisy. I got... More

I would like to let people know that this is a hostel not a hotel so for those expecting the luxury of a "hotel" it would be disappointing. For those of us who frequent hostels, this is a nice place. The staff was very helpful and friendly, the location was good, and the room was a hostel room. I'd definately... More

My mother, brother, and I arrived at about 1:00 AM. They were generous in that they let us put the rental car in the garage, but we had a horrible room We had a dormitory style room, which was ok, because we were the only people in it. However, the beds were nasty. I swear I saw a bed bug... More

The rooms are dirty, never saw a cleaning person in 3 days there. The staff is nice but very disorganized. They forgot about my waking up call to the airport and when I complained they were rude. The place is very cheap and the house has character but it is in a terrible state. The rooms are very dirty, full... More
