We were only in Lima for a short night (arrival after midnight) on our way to Cuzco. This hotel was nice and clean, but our room was on the street side and we were subject to loud discotheque music from below until past 3am. Not a great way to start off a memorable vacation. more

If you value a good night's sleep, avoid the Don Carlos Carmel Hotel. It's not only the noisy traffic (common in South America), but also the pub or nightclub next to the hotel.
