When I came to LIma, I was looking for a long term accomodation. My first stay was in Hotel Esperanza. This hotel was clean, friendly and provided me with helpful advice for making my stay in Lima much more secure and comfortable. This hotel has a great location in the heart of MIraflores with many restaurants, bars and cafes within... more

We stayed at Hotel Esperanza for 2 nights. The rooms aren't huge, but they were clean with plenty of hot water. Good service, they gave us a good map of the area and the breakfast wasn't too fancy, but got the job done. Only a couple blocks off from the central park and not too far from the ocean. I... more

We stayed at this hotel twice during our visit to Peru. On the first occasion it was a quick (almost) 1 night stop on before going straight off to Cusco next morning. As arranged by email with Max we had a car waiting at the airport for us and he arranged one back next day. The 1st room was OK.... more

Central and safe location Miraflores. Free basic breakfast (bread, tea/coffee/juice), two computers in the lobby with free but slow internet (very useful), small TV in room. Somewhat dark and the rooms have thin walls, but it was perfect for a very basic & secure place to stay. Max is super helpful and a great resource. more

The service was excellent. Max arranged all of our tours in Lima, Paracas & Huacachina Oasis, Cusco & Machupicchu. Rooms were basic but comfortable. Miraflores was 20 minutes away from the airport but we find it safe to walk around compared to downtown Lima. more

This hotel is located within 3 blocks of Larco Avenue where there are a number of great restaurants and things to do. It is also about a fifteen minute walk (two minute - two dollar cab ride) to LarcoMar mall, a fantastic place to go for food and fun. The hotel is clean and the employees are the friendliest you... more

The hostel was very nice, it has a secure door at the entrance and a 24 hr guard/attendent. The hotel has many nice plants in the hallways. The elevator was not working but then was fixed a few hours later. The room is a very basic room with the usually hard/firm mattressess you find in Latin America. The restroom was... more

This place is a dump compared to other hotels you can get for the same price. We asked for a private room with double bed and got a private room with two single beds. We were exhausted after our flight from the states so we didn't bother to change. Room was noisy and HOT! There was a club across the... more

In June 2009 my wife and I enjoyed a brief but event filled two weeks in Peru. One of the highlights was a flight in a small plane over the famous Nazca Lines, a half day journey south of Lima. Our tour was organized and guided by Max, of the Hotel Esperanza, where we stayed. Max went out of his... more

We stayed in hotel Esperanza in the beginning of our Peru travels and at the end before going back to Canada - total 5 days. We really liked the location of the hotel. Hotel emloyees and the manager did everything to make our stay as comfortable as possible and accomodate us in any way. The rooms are a bit outdated,... more
