I stayed at The Point hostel for 5 days in September 2014. Incidentally it's described as a party hostel and I quickly learned that it lives up to its reputation. Each night staff will have different drink specials at their inside bar and will organize games to play while hanging around socializing. All of the staff were on point and... More

Barranco was a good area to stay in - good for eateries, Malecon runs, and some Lima attractions. The hostel is nice, cant complain too much. Common areas were good. There was a lot of information provided everywhere, about Lima and Peru in general. The staff at reception were super friendly. However, at the breakfast nook, not so much...they seemed... More

This is a perfect place for backpackers! Very friendly service from young people (like myself). They know the area well and directed us to a great ceviche place down the street. There is a nice room with a library of books and movies and a big TV to hang out in, a bar with a pool table, and a small... More

We stayed here twice during our travels, once in room 'Team Awesome', a 4 bed mixed dorm (us and 2 of our friends) and the second time in the private double. The rooms are good, beds are comfy and the showers are great! The staff are friendly and helpful and the bar and food are awesome too. Its easy to... More

I stayed here in 2011 to enjoy Lima for a few days before leaving for Cuzco. The hostel is in a good location, and it had great food and a great bar, with a nice outside portion in the back. Lots of fun people working there and staying there. The rooms were what you would expect for a hostel, nothing... More

The Point Hostels, and the Lima location in particular, are probably my favorite hostels in Peru. It's called a "party hostel", but the crowd isn't nearly as wild as others like Wild Rover and Loki (both of which I found to be a little overwhelming). I've spent probably a combined two months at the Lima location throughout my travels, and... More

The point was a well run hostel that was good fun as a traveller. The airport pick up was well organised and the rooms are cheap but clean. The food at the hostel is very reasonable and good. The bar is always busy and good fun, the Barranco area has some good stuff going on for the time outside of... More

True to the reviews, this is a party hostel. I arrived on a Sat with things in full swing. While I wasn't overly impressed with the situation, I had been warned. The hostel attracts people of all ages & it excellent if you're wanting to meet other people. The location is great - Barranco is very nice & slightly cheaper... More

If you wanna party all night and meet other people that like to party, then this is the hostel for you. Not saying I don't like to get my party on, but this hostel was just a little too college for me. Stayed in a 4 bed dorm with boyfriend and some friends. The dorm was fine and bed sheets... More

This was my first experience at one of The Point Hostels in Peru. From the moment I walked in the door the staff were extremely helpful and friendly, and really went out of their way to make my stay enjoyable. Even to point of making good friends with them and have them show me around the area. They even took... More
