The Point Hostels, and the Lima location in particular, are probably my favorite hostels in Peru. It's called a "party hostel", but the crowd isn't nearly as wild as others like Wild Rover and Loki (both of which I found to be a little overwhelming). I've spent probably a combined two months at the Lima location throughout my travels, and... More

The point was a well run hostel that was good fun as a traveller. The airport pick up was well organised and the rooms are cheap but clean. The food at the hostel is very reasonable and good. The bar is always busy and good fun, the Barranco area has some good stuff going on for the time outside of... More

True to the reviews, this is a party hostel. I arrived on a Sat with things in full swing. While I wasn't overly impressed with the situation, I had been warned. The hostel attracts people of all ages & it excellent if you're wanting to meet other people. The location is great - Barranco is very nice & slightly cheaper... More

This hostel (opened in 2012) located in front of the sea in beautiful barranco ,surrounded by cool bars and restaurants easy to meet other travellers, great down to earth hostel ! another benefit is the small amount of beds (no as big as other hostels)

If you wanna party all night and meet other people that like to party, then this is the hostel for you. Not saying I don't like to get my party on, but this hostel was just a little too college for me. Stayed in a 4 bed dorm with boyfriend and some friends. The dorm was fine and bed sheets... More

This was my first experience at one of The Point Hostels in Peru. From the moment I walked in the door the staff were extremely helpful and friendly, and really went out of their way to make my stay enjoyable. Even to point of making good friends with them and have them show me around the area. They even took... More

Cleanliness is one thing that really can't be sacrificed in a hostel that works like The Point and it was the one thing that seriously lacked- sinks out of order, bathrooms covered in three inches of dirty water, toilets covered in urine and vomit. The Point might be on the cheaper end of the spectrum, but I urge you to... More

My friend and I stayed here a few times while travelling through Peru. At one point I accidentally left my phone here and they held it for me til I got back. Thanks again. Really social place. Real bar. Good common areas. Close to the beach.

Very fun, party every night and the staff is extremely friendly. Not good if you want to sleep well, but perfect if you're outgoing and you enjoy to share with other fellow travellers. The breakfast was ok, hot showers, lots of space in the dorms and safe lockers. Good information about tours and places to go out. I recommend this... More
