Miraflores is a great place to stay in Lima. Sol de Oro isa goog hotel. The cafeteria is a little small for the size of the hotel. Service is very good and everyone in the hotel is really helpful. more

I tried to get information about pet fee policy, nobody over there has a decent english level, I was on hold for 15 minutes, they were trying to find someone to translate for me.. at the end this guy from reservations did not understand what I was saying and hanged me up. If they do that on the phone, I... more

They did not have our reservations, however that did not stop their great staff service. We were there when the hotel seemed empty and in two days saw only one other guest. We arrived in afternoon, the bar was closed, however they sat up a small bar in the dining room. Later we went to a wonderful dinner there and... more

I have stayed at several hotels in Lima and Sol de Oro is one of the best. The staff is friendly, the rooms are big and the breakfast is okay. Just notice that a 5 star hotel ni Peru means a 4 star hotel rated in European standard. The location is the best, safe and in walking distance from Larcomar.... more

The Sol de Oro Hotel in the Miraflores area of Lima, may lack the cachet, and grand lobbies of some of the other top hotels we stayed in during the tour of Peru, but it is one hotel to which I would happily return. While it may lack the views of the ocean available in some rooms of the Marriott,... more

We stayed at this hotel at the beginning and end of our visit to Peru and on arrival in Lima found the city pretty grim. The hotel itself is located in a good area once you have your bearings and is close to shops and restaurants and overall we felt quite safe walking around the immidiate area. The hotel staff... more

Our itinerary in Peru and on to Ecuador necessitated 3 separate stays at this hotel during April totalling 5 nights. Room 1 had two large double beds and a kitchenette but, disappointingly, no complimentary sachets of coffee, sugar, etc.. As with all 5 hotels we stayed at in Peru the room was very poorly lit. There was a large bathroom... more

It was an OK hotel, though not what we would consider 5 star in Europe, more like a good 3 star. We were a group of people doing humanitarian work in Peru. Our flight was cancelled and AA set us up at this hotel with vouchers for two days for each meal and each hotel night. When we checked in,... more

The room we had was called a suite, though it was really just a large room with a latticework wooden screen separating the sleeping area from the "living" area. Ther room was carpeted, and contained a double bed, small table and chairs, armchair, bar, sink, minifridge and microwave. A key was needed for the fridge, and, since we didn't use... more

This hotel - while not luxury - was a great value and a nice surprise! The rooms are indeed very spacious and comfortable. The maid service was impeccable, and everything worked just fine. But the highlight was the staff - the service was near perfect, they were friendly without being obsequious, and they had a wonderful "can do" attitude that... more
