My friends and I stayed here for our first 2 nights in Peru. The accomadations were good; the room was clean, they have a TV, provide fresh towels each day and we had our own private bathroom. They provided prompt pick up service from the airport and were helpful in recommending places to eat around town. more

We stayed here two nights, the first day we arrived and the day we left. Both stays were satisfactory. The rooms are spartan, but I had no problems sleeping. The first night we stayed, we were greated by an employee who was not particularly friendly. However, at the end of our journey, the owner was present. He gave us a... more

PROS : - Beautiful colonial house with a courtyard, portales surrounding the courtyard, gorgeous living room and dining room. The room was incredibly cozy and comfortable. - The manager Toon Meeuwsen was really great. He owns a travel agency - Raymi Travels so you might find that useful. - Offers airport pick-up service even at mid-night. - Not in DOWNTOWN,... more

I stayed at this place 2 times during my trip when I had early flights and had a great experience both times. We spoke with the owner (who speaks 5 different languages fluently!) for awhile and he was a wonderful host. The staff was terrific as well. The rooms and bathrooms were really nice, and no bedbugs at all. It... more

After reading reviews on TripAdvisor, and viewing the hostel's own website, I booked a reservation online. The place is clean, but the walls are in need of a fresh coat of paint; and there is reliable hot water. The hallways are ceramic tile (bedrooms have wooden floors), so there is quite a bit of noise. The absolute worst thing, was... more

We were very grateful to see the driver sent by the hotel to retrieve us at midnight from the Lima airport. We were in our clean, but stark and damp room(the ocean is a block away) within an hour. The hotel was full with international tourists and it was a very adequate and reasonably priced choice for Lima. more

All we wanted was a place to spend the night since we were heading out to Arequipa the next day, so we really shouldn't be complaining because it satisfied that requirement. It just didn't provide much more than that. Our room of 3 single beds was dark and dingy, and my bed had a little something special to keep me... more

Lima is a rough start to a trip to Peru. It is a sprawling city of nine million and most seem to be very poor. We had about 5 hours until our flight to Cusco and we had read in Lonely Planet that this was a good, clean, safe choice. It is indeed. But, just be aware that if you... more

We had 10 hours between our arrival from the US and our morning flight to Cusco. We arranged to have Mami Panchita pick us up for $15 and our decent room was $30, and very clean. The return to the airport was $10. The included breakfast was adequate and tasted good. They speak passable english and take dollars. We got... more

Stayed for 1 nite in March 2007. Pros: - Friendly staff and owner - There is a night guard outside the hostal. Nice to have when you come in late at nite. - Decent breakfast. Served from 4am and included - Free internet - Clean rooms (though on the old side) - 20 min to airport (20-25 soles). 10 min... more
