We were expecting to feel the taste of Lima Peru here, maybe the building (from the outside) made us feel its gonna be a spanish yard full of atmosphere. Eventually this is just an old hostel, not very comfortable or clean, and somehow they charged as if it was much more.

We stopped in Lima on our way to Cusco through G Adventures for 1 night. The streets were dirty and busy and it was nice to get to a clean, friendly hostel. The bed was a little hard, but the water hot and clean. TV had english channels. Breakfast was toast and jam and a little disappointing. If you really... More

Great stay. Staff were really friendly and helpful. They taught us a few local tricks (this was our first destination when we arrived in South America), and gave us a great dinner recommendation. They also made phone calls for us helping us with reservations. Brekky was really yummy!

We stayed at Hotel La Castellana as part of a group your through G Adventures, so they recommended the hotel. It was a wonderful experience. The hotel is clean and beautiful. The star are very friendly and helpful and i would definitely recommend them to anybody staying in Lima as good hotels for decent price are hard to come by... More

We had a room over looking the central couryard, very nice and quiet. Do not accept room number 1, unless you are a very sound sleeper, had this room the first night, they should turn it back into a storage location, as I am sure that this was it's original purpose. Close to restaurants, bars and shopping. Back in the... More

Came here at the beginning and end of our G Adventures tour. Is in a good location in Miraflores within walking distance of the sea and the main square. About 30-40 mins away from the airport ($20 or 50 soles). Round corner from metro supermarket. Staff were friendly enough and are helpful. We requested a double bed as we were... More

This being our first time to Lima Peru we stayed @ Hotel La Castellana Hotel. A small cute hotel with charm. The one thing that stood out for me was one Hotel employee. His name is Renso. I think Renso must be the evening Manager. The thing I noticed about Renso was there were never any problems, only solutions. In... More

Someone else said this hotel is underrated and I agree. I had been dreading staying here as part of our a Gadventures trip and would have booked us into a different hotel if we hadn't had such an early start. Whilst simple/basic it is in a really great location, the rooms are spotless and the hotel spaces are all well... More

We have now soon travelled around the world, and to call this an average hotel is underrated. Yes, it is definately not a five star hotel, but the staff is excellent, they speak english, and the location is top notch! Could not ask for more, even in one of the safest neighbourhoods in Lima, Miraflores. Wifi not the best, but... More

Good location in Lima.Generally the hotel was perfect. I had a lovely big room but understand from friends that their's weren't so spacious. The breakfast selection could be better - maybe add some fresh fruit and the waiter needs to be friendlier.
