Kamana Hotel is in a convenient location for visiting museums, plazas and other sights. Next time we won't be so budget-conscious! We arrived after midnight and the desk clerk wasn't going to let us in. He was quite happy to sit in there looking out the door at us. A security guard and the taxi driver convinced him at last.... This is a decent hotel in the center of Lima, an ideal place if you want to do a walking tour of the old central central city. Breakfast is included. Parking is in a pay lot 3 blocks away. Free WiFi is available.

Downtown location, convenient to historic attractions. Caters to tour groups. Room and common areas are clean, bed commodious and acceptably comfortable. Rugs and furniture cheap and threadbare. Though our room was on the sixth floor, we heard plenty of street noise all night, plus a rope banging against a flagpole. Wi-fi was unreliable. For six soles ($US 2.25), coffee shop... More

I stayed here for one night en route to Cusco. Yes the decor is basic but the rooms are clean, adequate, amd quite comfortable. The dinner buffet was really excellent. Huge range, catering to vegetarian and vegan tastes as well. Breakfast was quite basic but what was provided was very good. Again there was a vegetarian option available. The location... More

Well sited for walking to the points of interest in central Lima, always felt safe, large Metro supermarket close by, staff very friendly and helpful, reception spoke very good English, guy on the door always had a smile and very willing to help. Plenty of hot water. Simple but very nice breakfast. Coffee to die for!

Stayed here for 2 nights after leaving Cusco. The bed and shower were adequate and thats about all the good I can say. The front desk staff was indifferent and basically tried to ignore any question we asked them. The bartender was similarly indifferent. The wifi was difficult to access and the signal so weak we had to sit on... More

Have stayed in this hotel twice in the last year as part of a tour goup. Basic lodgings, rooms fairly dark and uninviting, but bed reasonably comfortable. Breakfast very basic-bread, orange juice and coffee.

We spent only one night in Lima and found that the location very close to Plaza Mayor and the other sites in this area was very convenient. The room was clean and comfortable although the room safe was lacking its door (we were able to leave our valuables in the luggage room instead but felt a little less secure). The... More

I was wary at first having read the reviews but this was one of the best budget hotels I stayed at in Peru. Flat screen tv with plenty of English channels, modern decor, hot water. The staff were efficient too.

I was in Lima for about 25 days & this was the first hotel I arrived in from the airport. Location of the hotel is in the city centre & as per talks with my colleagues in Lima it is not the right place specially for foreigners as it is very risky with your valuables outside. So if you stay... More
