The area did not make me feel safe in the least. Location was not good. My stay there was very short, but it left a good enough impression on my mind. I wil never stay there again. They also stole my credit card number and began trying to take hundreds of dollars out!! The font desk personal was not welcoming,... more

I stayed at the Melia on two separate nights during my stay in Peru. The staff was always very friendly, the food was good, the pool was nice to have. Location wise, there isnt much to walk to from the hotel; however there is a convenience store across the street and a great place that has empenadas, liquor, and other... more

The Melia has two disadvantages the location and no free Internet in the room, only in the lobby, everything else is very good. Good room, great service, good breakfast. It is was located in the Miraflores it would be by far one of the best hotels in Lima. more

We stayed at the Melia Lima on 2 separate occasions - one night on our arrival to Peru, and one night prior to departing. The reservation was made on hotels.com for $115-135/night for July 2008. There was a bit of trouble getting any specific information about the hotel prior to our arrival (such as whether a free airport transfer was... more

The Melia is in a rather odd location between the main districts of tourist interest. However, it is quiet, clean, modern and well appointed. You can reach the historic downtown area in 30 minutes by cab in traffic (much quicker on a Sunday) and the Miraflores district is even closer. The outdoor pool is very small but the business facilities... more

We were at Melia Lima in May and were put on the The Level, an Executive floor. It has its own check-in desk on the 9th floor with its own restaurant and bar. There was free afternoon tea from 12noon to 6pm, and an open (free) bar from 6pm to 10pm. The staff were really friendly and helpful. The room... more

Stayed in this hotel for three nights in April 2008. The rooms are small, but comfortable, and the bathrooms are clean. The rooms facing the street can be noisy if you open the window, otherwise it's fine. The staff is friendly and helpful. Breakfast is ok, it's decent, but nothing to brag about. The hotel is located in a good... more

We stayed her twice in August 07 as a family 2 kids 7 and 11. The hotel is OK nothing special but clean reasonably close to the airport and not too far 15 minute cab to Miraflores. There appears to be nothing in the immediate area to tempt the tourist. The rooms are adequate for a short stay. The breakfast... more

This is a very nice hotel; clean, modern, comfortable. It is an excellent choice for a Lima overnight layover on the way to Cusco, being that it is fairly close to the airport. For a lengthier stay, not sure I'd recommend it, as the area is not the nicest. more

At first sight, the hotel is quite nice. When the front desk staff asked us for a credit card our 16 year old friend decided to put down her new credit card - which she had never used before or since (she got it for this trip!), not even to get cash out of an atm. The short story is... more
