This hostel is just fine...nothing really special, decent location near Miraflores (15 min walk) but only a 30 minute bus to the centre of town. It is clean and secure and reasonably cheap but just doesnt offer anything special, so depends what you want really!

This is where I oriented being "out of country", not speaking the language ... a bit intimated. Ekeko blessing this hostel attracting some of the most wonderful international kids. Together, for they were always kind enough to include "grandMa" in their in-house as well as city adventures. And thats the kind of hostel Ekeko is. Home away from home. A... More

they promised me a private room with bathroom. but it turned out to be a dorm room with small hard bunk beds and I had to pay for 4 to have it private. I compained and after a lot of grunting I got a refund. it wasn,t very clean; moldy walls. breakfeast was included but not available if you have... More

This was a great small hostel with excellent hosts, comfortable mattresses and a great setting. The hostel is walking distance from Kennedy Park and supermarkets and the courtyard is perfect for relaxing after exploring Lima. They have very knowledgable staff who can give you sights to see and the bike rental is some of the cheapest we've found. Breakfast is... More

I only stayed at this hostel for one night so my review may not be super accurate as there may have been more to see and understand at this hostel, but from what I saw, I wasn't impressed. In comparison to other hostels I've stayed at, the cleanliness was not good! I felt completely uncomforable in the bathroom. Also, we... More

Ekeko Hostel is a cool chilled out place I stayed here for four nights in dorm room, great location in the Miraflores district of Lima, Peru. The upstairs dorm room i stay in was great it was clean, same as most other dorm rooms furnished with just bunk beds. The two bathrooms, shared with a few other guests, one up... More

When the staff are as friendly as David was to us, you can overlook the odd patch of damp or funny smell. We got a warm welcome to Ekeko and enjoyed our two nights there. The nicer double room upstairs has a nice balcony but you take your life in your hands if you try to open it! The shower... More

I stayed three nights in a single room at the Ekeko Hostel, located in the Miraflores district of Lima, Peru. David, the friendly employee working there, had arranged for me to have a taxi driver wait for me and transport me to the hostel for a charge of $21 US. My very small but clean room, located at the rear... More

The first time I stayed here it didn't leave much of an impression on me however when I went back a month later I came to see how great it was. It's cosy and the staff are excellent, I had limited time to organise a transport to the bus station at 3am and the owner took me there for his... More

The staff are lovely and really helpful, arranged for my bus tickets down south to be delivered to the hostel. Communal areas are good, nice TV and good DVD collection. It wasn't the cleanest of places and the showers were either ice cold or burning hot. Atmosphere was laid back but didn't seem like a party hostel. Kitchen was good,... More
