Overall good experience. The gentleman working the desk was super friendly. It's right next door to huaca pucllana, so, you can check one thing off your list without a taxi! Room was clean and solidly acceptable. Same for the bathroom.

Ekeko is a normal hostel in Miraflores, the touristy area of Lima. We stayed in one of the private rooms with a double bed and private bathroom. There was honestly nothing to complain about. Everything worked and the water was okay, sometimes hot but never freezing. There is a kitchen you can use, as well as a laundry machine which... More

I liked Ekeko a lot. Staff is superfriendly and helpful (recommended restaurants are great). Dorm was a little bit stinky amd shared bathrooms could have been cleaned better and more often. Kitchen didn't look too clean either. Breakfast was good (bread, marmelade, butter, coffee and tea). Atmosphere was great. Would def. recommend Ekeko. Only thing I wouldn't recommend is ordering... Very friendly little hostel in a quiet safe neighborhood in Miraflores. A Huaca pyramid is right around the corner and you can go for a cool tour around the ruins for a few soles. The cliffs above the beach are within walking distance, and buses to Barranco and downtown are a block away and not hard to use. Kennedy park... More

We stayed here for two nights at the beginning of April to start our Peru trip. I would highly recommend staying in MiraFlores - the area is safe and picturesque with lots of places to eat and see etc. The hostel itself is a bit average, our room was a twin private - beds were okay the room was quite... We had a great time in Ekeko, the rooms are clean and nice, the commun area is big and really comfortable to hang out and meet other travelers. The Hostel has a great spot next door to Inca ruins (one of the sightseeings in Lima) close to supermarket, Inka market and busstop. David who works here is a great help... More

This place is a bloody dump! It's dirty, damp and incredibly loud (our balcony door wouldn't close). There appeared to be blood splatter on the bottom of our door, there were stains on the duvet cover and the walls/baseboards were either dirty or very moldy. Overall a real turn off. Only saving grace was Leo the front desk guy.

David the manager is very friendly & helpful with maps & suggestions for eateries & attractions. Rooms are decent and the common area downstairs feels a lot like a college dorm. Bathroom within our room has adequate hot water, though toilets have trouble flushing (similar to all toilets in Lima) Breakfast of bread and teas available. Within walking distance to... More

Pros: Friendly staff who go out of their way to help you book tours, day trips and airport transfers. Large common areas and a reasonably well-equipped kitchen. Hot water 24/7 and decent dorm beds. In the heart of Miraflores and not far from the sea, near bus routes to central Lima, and close to some really interesting archaeological sites. Also... More
