Really a terrible experience! The worst hostel ever! Noicy, cold shower, staff is not helpfull, poor breakfast and a bad location (you can not walk on the street during the night and all bars are in Miraflores) The private rooms are really overpriced. A terrible start of our trip in Peru. Maybe a good hostel if you like to party.

1900 Backpackers Hostel had a fun vibe with a good common area and good security. It is not in the BEST neighborhood but is a relatively short walk to one of two main plazas... our room was cold and in a center hallway so was quite noisy and bright... the whole hostel is open-aired which makes it cold at night...... We arrived near to midnight and was ushered to our room. Viola, room has furniture older than my grandmother, chairs and bed that is going to break anytime. Bedsheets and pillows were stained with black stains. I asked very nicely to change to a new room, was met with less pleasant reply. During middle of night, there was a fire... More

My friends and I stayed here for 4 nights in mid-June, but due to our plans 2-3 would have been sufficient. Staff were friendly and helpful and the price was right for our budget. The building itself was quite beautiful, but could have been a bit cleaner (especially the bathrooms). The bar was great for watching World Cup games and... More

This place is an OK location if you really want to be NEAR downtown. However the noise at night is unacceptable - and it is not even a party hostel. We stayed 3 nights and tried to sleep with ear-plugs. With high ceilings and stone/wooden floors noise carries and there is no attempt by management to stop people having TVs... More

This hostel has a lot of potential but sill has some work to do. It is in a historic building, but could stand to be a bit cleaner. The wifi was pretty bad and one of the front desk employees was super rude. However, I had some positive interactions with several other staff members and thought that the management was... More

I had 2 nights stay here, I was suppose to check in at 3pm but got there at 430am that morning and because my bed was available they let me go and sleep without charging me for the extra night. Bryan the manager is very helpful along with the rest of the staff. I enjoyed my stay here.

The place was nice enough - good beds, nice storage lockers, free breakfast (although it was only 2 rolls and coffee). The wifi rarely worked but they had 2 computers you could use (if you could get a turn). The place seems to have very thin walls and the dorms are right in the action, meaning it was quite noisy.... We had an OK stay in this hostel. A lot of noises from the bar and the busy street outside. A guy in our room had a lot of food under his bed which resulted in a lot of cockroaches (and he was mastrubating in public as well, but thats another issue). The staff took us seriously, and provided a... More

What a great building! Lovely mosaic floors and wood panelled walls. Stayed in a double room which was basic with a fan. The bar was really nice with well priced drinks and friendly staff. A basic breakfast of bread rolls and jam, coffee and juice was included. The reception staff were really helpful and assisted us getting a taxi to... More
