Hostel gemina is a good place to stay. It's only a short walk from the coast with a lovely walk through the park to get there. It's right beside a bank and some shops so it's a great location overall. There's also a really nice bar.right around the corner that does amazing cocktails

I stayed at Hostal Gemima for one night at the beginning of a G Adventures tour. Our room was spacious and the beds were comfortable, the bathroom was clean and the shower was decent. We had a room facing onto the street and did not find the noise to be an issue in the morning. The wifi worked reasonably well,... More

We stayed here for 5 nights and enjoyed our stay. Hostel is on the main road in Barranco so it's easy to get to. It's also close to that famous bridge, supermarket, ATMs and many restaurants. We never felt unsafe here. When we arrived, we were able to choose if we want small, but quiet room, or big, but more... More

I spent 6 nights here in between two tours I was originally in a room above the gym and then we booked a twin room which ended up being on the street. It is what it is, there is going to be noise practically anywhere in the hostel, I personally didn't find it a problem but I sleep with headphones.... More

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights when first arriving in Peru. I knew from previous reviews that noise might be a problem, and I specifically requested a quiet room, located away from the gym. When we arrived well after midnight, we were assigned to a room at the back of the property, which the manager assured us would... More

Hotel has all you need, good beds and decent bathrooms. Staff is very friendly! Basic breakfast, good location, building is not very caracteristic though. One disadvantage: the gym nextdoor is pumping music from 6am. If they fix this I'd come back.

I was starting a tour of peru in Lima and this is where they put me. It is an easy walk to supermarket, atm and to a view of the ocean. There are some nice restaurants nearby. But most of the sites I wanted to see were in different areas (so I took a van tour). Staff was pretty friendly,... More

Staff were accommodating and helpful. Great location in barranco, close to many restaurants. Room was simple but clean, a bit cold at times. Would've liked extra blankets. Breakfast is basic but not bad. The decor is all a bit odd but it's not an issue. Good value overall.

I stayed at Hostal Gemina April 2-3 and 10-16, 2013. The hostal is a great value and the simple but comfortable rooms were spotlessly clean and neat. The staff is very accommodating. The rooms that I stayed in were interior and quiet, and I slept well and did not notice any external noises. The other reviews on this Hostal accurately... More

A great place to stay in Barranco with good transport to central Lima. Although not large, the rooms were comfortable. Plenty of hot water. Large public area where the very basic breakfast was served. Quirky antiques everywhere giving the place real character. Wifi only worked in the public areas. Friendly helpful staff.
