I had an enjoyable stay here for 2 nights in December 2014. The location is great. There are banks and a great supermarket close by. The coast is a short walk away too.The staff are very friendly and helpful. The security of the hotel is good (they lock the gate late at night). Breakfast is basic.

A very comfortable with all its ammenities. Water was always hot. Breakfast was freshly made with fruit juice. In the most center of Barranco. Very professional and accomodating staff. I highly recommend it. Great spaces, sort of a museum with all the artifacts and antiques you can imagine, radios, phones, sewing machines, which added a plus to Hostal Gemina. The... More

Pros:: Safe locations Cheap area, good quality restaurants around Cheap hotel Big supermarket not far away Wifi was free Cons: Horrendous beds, very hard and the pillows are a rock - you'll hurt your neck Fans make terrible clicking noise so loud and irritating Breakfast is 2 pieces of bread - pathetic

We stayed here as part of a Gadventures tour and while the room itself was decent, there was a hot shower and a comfy enough bed, it feels like there was no windows in this place it was so loud. It backs on to a courtyard with a number of other businesses and a number of our group commented on... More

Hostel gemina is a good place to stay. It's only a short walk from the coast with a lovely walk through the park to get there. It's right beside a bank and some shops so it's a great location overall. There's also a really nice bar.right around the corner that does amazing cocktails

I stayed at Hostal Gemima for one night at the beginning of a G Adventures tour. Our room was spacious and the beds were comfortable, the bathroom was clean and the shower was decent. We had a room facing onto the street and did not find the noise to be an issue in the morning. The wifi worked reasonably well,... More

We stayed here for 5 nights and enjoyed our stay. Hostel is on the main road in Barranco so it's easy to get to. It's also close to that famous bridge, supermarket, ATMs and many restaurants. We never felt unsafe here. When we arrived, we were able to choose if we want small, but quiet room, or big, but more... More

I spent 6 nights here in between two tours I was originally in a room above the gym and then we booked a twin room which ended up being on the street. It is what it is, there is going to be noise practically anywhere in the hostel, I personally didn't find it a problem but I sleep with headphones.... More

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights when first arriving in Peru. I knew from previous reviews that noise might be a problem, and I specifically requested a quiet room, located away from the gym. When we arrived well after midnight, we were assigned to a room at the back of the property, which the manager assured us would... More

Hotel has all you need, good beds and decent bathrooms. Staff is very friendly! Basic breakfast, good location, building is not very caracteristic though. One disadvantage: the gym nextdoor is pumping music from 6am. If they fix this I'd come back.
