This little hostel has so much going for it, and yet it was disappointing. It is well located, and it has basic, yet decent rooms. When we arrived the room was clean, and everything worked well, though we never had any hot water during our stay. The attention was lacking though: the room wasn't made up during the day, the... You get what you pay for! Clean room, air conditioning, comfortable bed and quiet location (yet one square far from Plaza de Armas). The location is excellent, one can walk to the Malecon, Main square and travel agencies.

This was my first trip outside of the US. I was pleasantly surprised. We spent most of our days and nights in villages and in the jungle. We spent our first night at this hotel before heading out on our expedition. I had nothing else to compare this hotel to because this was my first night in Peru (other than... More

The hostal is clean and quiet and centrally located in town. Plenty of transportation to wherever you want to go. Many restaurants near-by. (At Texas Rose Restaurant do NOT try the French Toast. Its not what you expect. Its not what you want.) The hostal has a bathroom with each room. They have showers. There is hot water BUT be... More

Stayed here late NOV 2013, just after a few days in the jungle - clean room, hot showers, had the 50 Soles room and it was great. Location is excellent, right off the square, right off "boulevard" - it's a great budget option and AC will not matter after you've been in IQT over 48 hours - at least I... More

Stayed here for one night before leaving for a five day jungle trip. When we came back for another two nights, we found out, that our bags have been carefully checked by somebody. We lost about 250U$ out of two Bagpacks, which were stored next to the reception (in service for 24 hours), in a little box with a proper... More

We stayed here back in November before a trip into the jungle. The room was not large but big enough. The fan worked surprisingly well to keep us cool at night despite the heat and humidity. Bathroom was normal sized and clean. Wifi was... interesting - it looks like they route you through something else so we got messages saying... More

The room was musty but it was a lot less so than our previous hotel. There was a little cafe for breakfast in the lobby. The room and shower were clean and the bed was comfortable. The staff was very friendly and it was quiet at night. There was a fridge for guests to use. Overall average.

As I had room reservations, they arranged to pick me up from the airport. A lovely idea. No hot water but, hey, this is the jungle. This truly is a very convenient location. Yes, an on street room is a tad noisy, but it truly conveys the energy of Iquitos. There is a market just outside the door. There is... More
