It is very difficult to rate our week with Explororama. It was such a broad spectrum of experiences We stayed the first half of the week at ExploNapo and the second at Ceiba Tops. I would highly recommend that you do it in that order (more primitive to more luxury) than the other way around. Others before me have described... more

We had a fantastic time with Explorama last month. The lodges were wonderful, definitely a different experience from anything we had before!!! Aside from the accommodations what really made the trip was our guide Juan Tejada. Juan was absolutely incredible. He ensured from the second he met us at the airport in Iquitos that we had the best most informed... more

This is truely the trip of a lifetime. I enjoyed it so much that the May 07 trip was my third with these folks. We stayed at Explorama Lodge, ExploraNapo and Ceiba Tops. Explorama was founded by an American, Peter Jensen. Two of the trips were in low water season and the third was high water season. There is a... more

Explorama was very clean, I loved the fact that they had A/C in the bedrooms. The food was delicious and the staff were fantastic. They offer a few different activities. We chose the piranha fishing, the canopy walkway, and the pink dolphin boat excursion. All met our expecations and were fun and very unique experiences. I would definately recomend staying... more

Jusgt returned from an 8 day birdwatching holiday and the Explorama Lodge, ExplorNapo Lodge and finishing at Ceiba Tops. Thoroughly enjoyed the trip. You may be interested to know that the Explorama Lodge now has ensuite bathrooms in new buildings, The layout is still the same but now the rooms have private facilities. The ExplorNapo Lodge is still very rustic... more

Explorama Lodges are the "home of my heart" in Peru; the rainforest is simply magical, and the accommodations here are very much in keeping. This was my second trip here, and this time I stayed in Explorama and Explornapo Lodges, plus a night in the Explortambos camp and ended in the luxury of Ceiba Tops. The lodges are open to... more

The place itself is wonderfully appointed with banana leaf thatched roofs and open air rooms. The food is delicious and authentic. The guide spoke very good English, was informative, helpful and... more

Well what can one NOT say about the Lodges.......My mum and I stayed at both Exlporama and Napo Lodges...I must say that when I arrived in Iquitos some 7 hours late and at night I wondered what my Mum had made me do. The boat trip on the Amazon was wonderful and enlightening. We had a guide (Orlando) for the... more

We were fortunate to have purchased a week at the Explorama Lodges on the Amazon on our Public Television auction. They are based in Iquitos, Peru and we stayed at three of their lodges for two nights each. We preferred their more rustic lodges which had no electricity and only out houses and stall cold showers. While this may sound... more
