Top of the line lodge in the middle of the Amazon--what more could you ask for?! Unless you are looking for a more "roughing it" experience, you cannot go wrong with Ceiba Tops Lodge. My dad and I did a 4 day/3 night itinerary and he wanted a place with air conditioning and functioning plumbing, so Ceiba Tops it was.... More

Ceiba Tops is the most comfortable place to stay in the Amazon close to Iquitos. It is about a 3* by Australian standards. Rooms are large clean and comfortable with flushing toilets and hot and cold running water which is important in the Amazon. Food is buffet style for all meals and reflects food from the local area. The large... More

I did a study abroad trip last year and Ceiba Tops was our last of the Explorama Lodges that we visited and was the most luxurious, with private bathrooms, Air Conditioning, white table cloth dining area, stocked bar and gift shop. True luxury in the Amazon Rainforest! They even had a pool! Our group roughed it for 2 weeks in... More

Ceiba Tops is THE place to stay when visiting the Peruvian Amazon. We spent 4 days / 3 nights there and managed to get in a number of activities at a relaxing pace. Celso was our guide and he was wonderful. The first day we arrived in the late morning after a 1.5 hour boat ride down river from Iquitos.... More

I spent three nights at Ceiba tops in January 2015, an amazing place to stay. no radio, no TV, just the sounds of nature. The rooms are beautiful, clean and with lots of space, in a garden of Eden setting. Many rooms have a view over the amazon river. The lodge has many comfy outdoor sitting places, even hamacs to... This is a really comfortable place to stay in the Amazon. Your guide will pick you up at the airport and is your contact for the duration of your stay. Activities are planned for you - we went piranha fishing, visited a monkey rescue island, visited a local village, went on a wilderness walk during the day and evening, traversed... More

We stayed four nights here, in a room with a king bed. Great bedside reading lighting, huge shower, great swimming pool. They had a pet tapir at this hotel (!), which caused real excitement whoever she emerged! The bar served smallish drinks, but was a meeting spot for our group of 14 most evenings. Food was fair -- lots of... More

As a pre trip before our incredible International Expeditions Amazon Cruise we went to Cieba Tops Lodge. So there we are an hour outside of Iquitos in this beautiful area with with individual sleeping rooms, with a sitting area and a stocked refrigerator AND air conditioning , a bar, restaurant, swimming pool, jacuzzi and a resident tapir roaming the grounds.... We enjoyed our experience here. Air conditioning and hot water for us are a must so this was great to be able to enjoy the Amazon without sleeping in the heat and humidity. Our guide was Renilo and he was very informative on all aspects of the jungle and accomodated us if we wanted to change something. The rooms are... More

We stayed here after an intense jungle experience. At first it was culture shock but we grew to appreciate the air conditioning.,hot showers and good lighting. We loved the canopy walk. However it was an hours walk in to and from the walk as it was a low water time of year. They provide a lot of service. Picking you... More
