I recently stayed 4 nights at Ceiba Tops Lodge along with my husband and 21 year old son. We chose to stay here over the other Explorama lodges because of the in room: air conditioning, restroom and hot running water. My husband doesn't like roughing it. We stayed in a triple room that had 3 single beds and a bathroom.... More

My husband and I took the Amazon Pre-Trip through Overseas Adventure Tours. Our guides were Roldan and Willy. They were the best and made our first and probably only visit to the Amazon rich and memorable. Their knowledge about animals, plants, fish, the history of the Amazon River, the people who live in the villages along its bank, Iquitos, the... More

This is not a 5 star resort. It is basic, but clean and comfortable. The room was large and the aminities were sufficient. The food was tasty and the staff were very friendly. Our guide, Ceasar, was very knowlegeable, friendly, kind and made us feel like friends, rather than clients. We enjoyed everything about stay.

We had a spontaneous honeymoon in the Amazon. The experience was more than we had expected thanks to our guide Segundo. We stayed at Ceiba Tops lodge which was an air-conditioned and comfortable base for all our adventures. We want to make a particular recommendation to our guide Segundo, who went the extra mile to make our few days in... More

The chalets are spacious for a couple of nights with plenty of hanging space and a good sized shower. The swimming pool although not big is adequate to cool down after a long day of exploring. The food was varied and the catfish we caught were cooked and produced at lunchtime for us to try, Out guides took us on... More

I chose Ceiba Tops because after reading about the heat, humidity, and mosquitos in the Amazon jungle, I thought an air-conditioned room was the way to go. When I phoned Explorama to make my reservation, the representative convinced me to split our time between Explorama Lodge and Explorama's Ceiba Tops Lodge. My 23-year-old son and I were so glad we... This lodge is rustic, but the rooms are not. Yea! If you're on the Amazon for any length of time, it is wonderful to have a clean, titled room with air conditioning. There is no television, but after spending time on the Amazon, it's nice just to hear and feel the AC. The rooms have been recently renovated, is very... More

This is the most luxurious of the 3 Explorama Lodges - with in-room bathrooms, hot water and air conditioning, as well as a swimming pool. For us, we preferred the no-frills in the rainforest living that Napo and Explorama Lodge offered. The "frills" didn't seems to fit with the rest of the rainforest surroundings, but we can see how some... More

This is a very special place with the Amazon jungle and river right outside your door. The rooms are comfortable and clean, but not luxuerious. The setting and design of the lodge makes ones really get the feel of Amazon life. There are many walking trails the offer a looks at many species of flora and fauna. And when your... More
