Although a trip for four days is quite expensive, it was definitely worth every dollar! From the moment we were picked up from the airpor we didn't have to think about anything. Everything in our program was arranged. We visited a market in Nauta and after that our jungle experience begun. We saw many animals due to the excellent eyes... More

My husband and I stayed for 3 nights/4 days in the Hatuchay - Pacaya Samiria Lodge from 31/12 to 4/1. This was a great experience for both of us as this was the first time visiting the jungle. I would really recommend this lodge which is located in front of the Marañon River and closer to the Pacaya Samiria National... More

We spent 5 days here and Reyes was our guide. He is terrific, funny and speaks great English. He is also great at making animal calls, spotting and hearing wildlife from a distance. We saw a lot of pink, grey dolphins, sloths, hawks, herons and a tonne of other birds. Some personal highlights were: Swimming in the cool river. Catching... More

This hotel is great and our tour experience was amazing. Huber, our guide, was extremely knowledgable about the jungle, was really nice to us, and his English was excellent. The hotel should be happy that they have someone as special as him working for them. We went night and day hiking, swimming, piranha fishing, visited villages etc. We saw sloths,... More

If you are looking for a serious engage with the Amazon Region, this is a perfect choice, in terms of: location inside a huge national park, programs very well designed, excellent guides, the facilities are correct for this kind of places, no fancy things and forget TV, air conditioning, and even electricity before 6:00 PM. For my wife and me... More

Overall, we had an excellent experience at the Pacaya-Samiriya Lodge. The main reason for us picking this location is that the lodge is located upstream (across the banks of the Pacaya-Samiriya Forrest Reserve) so we hope to be able to access the more "protected" parts of the jungle. The lodge didn't disappoint in terms of having twice daily activity/trips that... More

Our family (my husband and I and our two adult children) had a wonderful stay at Pacaya Samiria this past July. The setting is lovely and all buildings were designed with the environment in mind. The staff members are kind, thoughtful, efficient and quietly waiting to help when needed. The food was delicious, local and fresh. We chose the six-day... More

The Pacaya Samiria Lodge is located directly at river Maranan on the edge of the national reserve. Walking to the djungle is possible directly from the Lodge and our guide make it a great experience, seeing different types of monkeys, lizards, spiders, iguanas, frogs, snakes and many more. The lodge is very basic, only cold water (which is really refreshing,... More

We found Pacaya Samiria Lodge on trip advisor. It's so hard to know which of the lodges to go to and the reviews on this site helped us so much! This lodge is a little further away from civilization and we loved every minute of our time there! We had people waiting for us at the airport and after an... More

Incredible family vacation led by our most excellent guide Rey Torres - unforgettable jungle excursion replete with creepy-crawlies, monkeys/sloths, dug-out canoe rides, pirana fishing, romps in the rain forest, plus an olfactory and taste excursion with exotic tropical fruits, saps, and smells. The entire staff was warm, welcoming, and playful, and the accommodations were perfect - private open-air (but screened)... More
