My family stayed in Muyuna Lodge for four days and we did have a excellent time. The lodge is in very deep rainforest, where you can feel the real rainforest and Amazon. You can sleep and wake up with the beautiful songs of birds, see many kinds of plants and animals. We got very nice service, the staff are very kind... More

I visited the Muyuna lodge with my brother and we had an amazing time. We stayed 3 days/2 nights and we managed to cover a lot in that time. 2 daytime boat trips spotting monkeys, birds, sloths etc. 1 nightime boat trip where we caught a small cayman and they brought him on to the boat for us to look... Most of this review has less to do with the Lodge, which was just as advertised. The guides are good, the food is good and the rooms serviceable. They now generate electricity from solar so there are even LED lights in the rooms and no problem charging up batteries. At first they put my wife and I in one double... More

Muyuna Lodge can't be beat for an authentic Amazon experience. We did the 5 day trip and would recommend that length or even the 6 day trip, as we wish we could have stayed longer. Muyuna's staff is very accommodating, efficient, and helpful. Extra blankets, extra towels, unrestricted use of the kayaks, you name it, Muyuna's staff delivered, with a... More

I really enjoyed Muyuna. I was in Peru for work and took a last minute weekend trip. Thankfully, they were able to accomodate me. It was really easy once I got off the plane in Iquitos as the lodge had someone there to meet me and who helped me find a place to layover before the next day departure to... More

Had a wonderful stay. The food is good, nothing elaborate, but perfect on the stomach. Friendly & nice help at the Lodge. Our guide was very knowledgeable, Edson. I recommend 2-3 day stay. We visited the nearby village with all the children, that was most memorable. I highly recommend that experience. Bring gifts for the children. They are appreciative of... More

We really struggled with the decision to "splurge" for our 3 night, 4 day stay at Muyuna Lodge, or any other amazon lodge, because of the budget busting expense. But since we had the time, and were nearby, we convinced ourselves it was one of those once in a lifetime deals, and we had to get it off our bucket... More

The research on the area is tricky, but trust me this lodge is safe and worth the trip. If your looking to explore and get off the gird, this lodge is for you. It is the farthest lodge up the river, about 4 hours from the city of Iquitos (which was a great journey in itself). When you arrive you... More

It has been my dream for many years to visit the Amazon and my choice to stay at Muyuna Lodge exceeded all my expectations! My husband and I were able to see and learn about so many species of birds (I am a birder), as well as several types of monkey's, reptiles, amphibians, insects, fish and plants. We also felt... More

The Muyuna Lodge surpassed all expectations. Our field guide (Moises) was amazing--knowledgeable, friendly and patient. He ensured that we saw as much as possible--too many water fowl to enumerate, caiman, fishing for and eating piranha, pink and gray dolphins, boa constrictors and other snakes, various species of monkeys, tarantulas, sloths, etc. The lodge personnel were accommodating and efficient. The food... More
