I just got back from a 4D/3N stay at Muyuna lodge. I really can't find anything negative to say about this place. The room was very comfortable, bed was very comfortable. There's no electricity in the rooms so the staff gave us kerosene lanterns. The only thing that I can think of that might be a negative to some people... More

My husband and I spent 5 days in Muyuna lodge in April 2013 and it really was an unforgettable experience. We had a very interesting program (especially night excursions and swimming with dolphins), our guide Horhe and his assistant Iyro were very professional, with great knowledge of flora and fauna, good English and sparkling sense of humor. The lodge itself... More

We have just returned from an amazing 6 day/5 night expedition at the Muyuna Lodge. My friend an I were both a little hesitant about spending that amount of time in the middle of the rainforest with heaps mosquitos, spiders and no electricity but we could not be happier that we decided to go. Everything about our trip was truly... More

I have just come back from Iquitos and Muyuna Lodge and I wish I could have stayed longer! It was a dream come true, everything was just perfect. Paddling in a canoe on the Amazone river with the star sprinkled sky above me, no sounds of cars or other engines, only the voices of the jungle, day and night excursions... More

It's not #2 in speciality lodging in Iquitos Amazon for no reason!! We had the most amazing time. Lodge - luxury in the middle of the rainforest. Very clean, delicious smelling shampoo, conditioner and body lotion provided. Beds made every day, a little snack left each day on your bed - dries fruit, biscuits, chocolate. Very comfy beds. Bathroom is... More

I have no way to compare first hand, but based on what I understand, many alternatives are too close to the Amazon proper, which can be a busy and sometimes noisy river. And as you can imagine, the more boats, people and noise you have, the fewer animals you have. Muyuna is a good 2.5 - 3 hours up river... More

We were a group of 6; a couple, 3 teenage boys and a preteen boy. We did Muyuna's 5 day/4 night package and had 2 triple cabins at the lodge along the Yanayacu River. We had a single guide assigned to our "family" for our entire stay. Our guide, Jorge, was very knowledgeable and funny and we really liked him.... More

Everything about Muyuna Lodge was amazing. The accommodations, the staff, the food, the animals, activities, and did I mention the food? Christian was our guide and he was excellent. My husband and I are marine biologists and found him to be exceptionally knowledgeable. We are quite adventurous and he really accommodated by taking us on a variety of boat excursions... More

We spent only 3 days at Muyuna but I wish we could have spent more! Our guide, Jorge, was an excellent guide who gave us lots of laughs and kept us very entertained with all of his knowledge. He also spoke excellent English and was very skilled at finding us lots of wildlife. The rooms were very clean and simple... More

I stayed here for a couple of nights. It was fantastic. Our tour guide Edson was friendly and seemed to know what he was talking about. They let us chose things at our own pace. I would definitely come back and suggest this place without reservations.
