The wildlife tours were beyoncd our expectations. We enjoyed each and avery walk, boatride, and disc.ussion with our guide Moises. We saw many animals: monkeys, birds, sloth, dolphins.....The hospitality was very good and cuisine excellent. We appreciated the eco-friendly establishment and low-impact development. We love Muyuna and our guide Moises. We cannot wait to go bak more

My wife and I stayed here in May 2007. We were mixed on our experience of the place. I absolutely loved it, and thought it was a great introduction to the Amazon. My better half however, was not as enthuised as I was. That said she does more enjoy the luxuries in life than I do ;-), as well as... more

We were looking for a jungle resort that was a little more authentic and not created for 1,000s of American tourists to trample through the jungle on package holidays. So we specifically wanted something not too perfect with all the amenities... we wanted to experience as much of the real jungle as possible, with out too many signs of tourism..... more

the lodge is very basic, the food is ok but boat ride to reach there is just the worst ride which you could have on earth. the boats are not secure without life jackets, no refreshment, no water, no one speaks english on the boats, so if you require something you are screwed. more

We visited Muyuna on the 5day/4night package in July 2007 and enjoyed it. The activities are pretty much what are described at any number of jungle lodges operating out of Iquitos. At Muyuna the activities are broken up with an early morning before-breakfast activity, a morning activity, an afternoon activity, and an evening activity. You are back to the lodge... more

This is as close to a wilderness experience as you are going to to get unless you camp out. Did I stay at the same place as the last reviewer.? Or may be things have changed since 2005. The staff were very flexible with activities. You could basically chose whatever activities that you wanted to do that can be accommodated.... more

Muyuna "Wilderness" Lodge was a very nice, friendly, and pleasant place to stay. However, it was NOT in the wilderness, nor were they particularly flexible with activities. The lodge is pleasantly rustic, and the lack of electricity in the bungalows makes for a restful atmosphere. The staff and kitchen do use a generator though, which makes a lot of noise... more

Muyuna is a picture perfect eco-lodge set deep in the Amazon Jungle. The 300 dollars i paid for a three day/2 night journey covered food, guide, transport,etc...the adventure is "on the house!!" The rooms are basic, no electricity...but they provide a lamp after dark. The entire room is screened in....so mosquitos arent a problem. Their guides take you through the... more
