Places visited (all organised by AA): Amazonia - Tahuayo lodge, research lodge Andes - Cusco, Machu Picchu, Sacred Valley Lima We travelled from the UK. We had never been anywhere like this before. We wanted to cram a lot into 3 weeks and were interested mainly in the ecology of the jungle and the problems the locals faced. Reading indicated... More

This was one of the most incredible experiences of my life! I planned this trip with a friend who had spent a few days at the lodge before, I did not know what to expect and was a little nervous, But as soon as I arrived and was introduced to our guide Alfredo I was instantly put at ease. Not... More

I feel very fortunate to go with Amazonia Expeditions for our first ever Amazon trip. My daughter had the best wildlife experience. We only had 3 days but we saw amazing numbers birds, mammals, insects, snakes, etc. Our guide Anselmo was very knowledgable and great with kids. Also, it was heartwarming to see his respect for the jungle. He was... More

It was my life dream to visit the Amazon and going with Amazonia Expeditons was perfect. From the first contact with owner Paul Beaver to the welcome at the airport in Cusco to the drop off at the airline desk in Equitos all went perfectly. We are a couple in our late 60's who have never done a guided trip... More

Ok, I'm going to refrain from some long-winded review, and just go ahead and say that this company is running a very tight ship! From the initial booking (with Paul), to my pickup at the airport and my subsequent week-long experience in the Amazon, everything went perfectly smoothly. I had a great time with my guide (Christian). I noticed that... More

I enjoyed my stay at both Tahuayo Lodge and Amazon Research Center during my recent stay from Nov 12 until Nov 20, 2014 Staff at both lodges made all the difference in providing a comfortable, safe and delightful experience so I could concentrate in locating and photographing the natural world around me My assigned guide was Nataly whose keen eyesight... Well... not really. But we did have the most wonderful experience with Amazonia Expeditions. Here are a few reasons you want to go: 1) You get your own guide each day, all damn day! You can wake up early and go for a hike. You hike all day. You can search for wildlife at night. You can zip line. Swim... More

My trip to Tahuayo Lodge and the Amazon Research Center was wonderful. Who would have thought that I would be bushwacking my way through the Amazon jungle on foot and in a dugout canoe! My guide, Weni, though only 33, grew up in the jungle, has been guiding for 15 years and was very knowledgeable . His quiet yet confident... More

My seven day stay with Amazonia Expeditions was one of the best vacations of my life. The Amazon is a truly magical place, so be prepared to fall in love with it! The wildlife, from monkeys to dolphins to birds, is abundant and each encounter is awe-inspiring. I highly recommend spending a night camping in the jungle, hiking to Terra... More

My son and I met up with long-time friends for this trip into the Peruvian rainforest. We greatly enjoyed the whole experience, from our time at the Amazonia B&B in Iquitos through days at Tahuayo Lodge and finally our 4 nights at the Amazon Research Center. As one who maintains aquariums at home, my own interest was in seeing some... More
