We visited for three days. I think this is a little short and we would have loved to have had a few days more. Accommodation is basic, but adequate and it isn't the accomodation that you come to the amazon for. Showers are cold, but actually quite nice when you get use to it. Having the hammock room was also... More

Our family of 4 stayed here for 5 nights. We were in Peru for 6 weeks and this was the highlight. Each cabin gets their own guide for the duration of the trip. This meant our kids didn't bother people who were there for birdwatching, and people who were no so into kids didn't slow ours down at all. Everything... More

Our Peru trip was spectacular. My kids and I had an excellent time. The Amazon was our favorite part. The staff was super friendly and our personal guide was great. Knowledgeable and more than accommodating to our specific itinerary plans. Would like to have had more time at this location.

There were so many positives about my trip into the Amazon that is is difficult to pick a starting point. I was in Peru for research with Albright University and the guides made it all possible through their genuine friendliness and knowledge of the local society. I have never trusted people I had just met so much before. The staff... More

I have been to the Tahuayo Lodge several times with my students. They go to participate in one of the many volunteer tourism programs offered by Amazonia. They learn a lot about everything you would expect to be in and around a rainforest but the knowledge my students gain are more lessons for the heart than the head. The staff... More

We just recently returned from a 10 day tour of the Amazon through Amazonia Expeditions and our trip was absolutely AMAZING! We were consulted daily with our personal guide and plans were discussed as to which activities we were interested in doing for that particular day. All of the staff was extremely friendly and the Lodge was extremely nice and... More

There are many adjectives that I could use to describe our trip, like phenomenal, awesome, amazing, superlative, etc. The Amazon rainforest is definitely magnificent and breathtaking. But what made our trip unforgettable was these three things: contact, content, and consideration. Contact (interpersonal): What set this experience apart for us was our personal guide, Llyacko, but I have heard the same... More

Had a great week here. The lodges are very nice considering you are in the middle of the jungle, good food, and a very friendly and knowledgeable guide. You get yor own guide, so the groups are small and you can tell the guide what kind of activities you are most interested in. Absolutely recommendable!!

I was met by my personal guide, Anselmo, at the airport before leaving by boat up the Amazon. Anything I wished to do was granted. I felt very pampered and requested a birdwatching expedition. Over two days we identified 39 different species of birds. We found many pink dolphins and swam with them in the Tahuayo. We also located several... More

Amazonia Expeditions made our adventure simply flawless. We had our own guide and every day was a new magical escapade. We saw 8 different species of monkeys, swam with pink dolphins and piranha, hiked a lot and loved the sound of the jungle. The bugs aren’t bad. Both lodges are completely screened. This is THE TOUR COMPANY to choose. The... More
