We stayed at the Lodge for four nights in May 2015. We were greeted at the Iquitos airport by a staff member and taken to the company offices in Iquitos, which are also a B&B just for guests of the Lodge. The B&B is very nice and I recommend staying there at the beginning or end of your Amazon adventure.... More

Thank you Anselmo! During 3 days he showed us as many things as possible! He knows everything about this place and the spots to go for wildlife. The location of the lodge is amazing. Of course there is no hot water but we are in the middle of the jungle! The place was flooded but the staff made all its... More

Despite the Amazon and its northern tributaries being in historic flood and about half the Tahauayo Lodge and Research Center being under water, the staff and guides provided us a magical experience. The accommodations, considering the jungle setting, were very comfortable. Because of the high water there were NO BUGS

The lodge staff/guides were very friendly and knowledgeable. The water level was abnormally high and when we arrived, many of the rooms were under water. Originally when we got there, they asked if we could stay in a room with another couple. Fortunately, they were able to find another room. The bathrooms and showers were shared. With the water level... More

We had originally booked to stay at the Amazon Refuge Centre but due to the flood waters we were moved to this Lodge. Our guide was Christian who has worked there for 11 years and his knowledge is amazing. We learnt so much in 4 days from him. The rooms were fine considering we were in the jungle. One guest... I stayed at the Tahuayo Lodge in May of 2006 with a group of students and faculty from Saint Leo University. It was an awesome experience. The trip was filled with plenty of time to relax and enjoy the jungle balanced with lots of fun excursions. Our guide for many of the excursions, Jacko, was professional and very personable. Our... We stayed in the main lodge (Tahuayo) for 4-5 days in December 2014. The lodge itself is made of wood from surrounding trees and very basic, so no luxury (except for a satellite internet connection in one part of the lodge). We did receive a room with private shower/toilet which turned out to be ideal. The lodge is located deep... More

We travelled with our family to Tahuayo Lodge in March. What an amazing experience for myself, spouse, 13 yr old, 10 yr old, and 3 year old. The Amazon was so much more than we expected. Highlights for our family were fishing for piranha, swimming in the river with pink dolphins, swinging from jungle vines, searching and eating wild jungle... More

Had an excellent time at the Amazonia Expeditions' Tahuayo Lodge. Even though major portions of the lodge were flooded the staff, service and overall stay was great. The guides were extraordinary and went well above what was expected to take care of our needs and desires.

Stayed at the Tahuayo Lodge with my husband and son just before Christmas last year. The entire staff of the lodge are just the nicest and most helpful people I have ever come across. The place was so clean and so charming. The various outings were fantastic and the tour guides were so knowledgeable. The food was delightful. I was... More
