My son and I met up with long-time friends for this trip into the Peruvian rainforest. We greatly enjoyed the whole experience, from our time at the Amazonia B&B in Iquitos through days at Tahuayo Lodge and finally our 4 nights at the Amazon Research Center. As one who maintains aquariums at home, my own interest was in seeing some... More

This is a fabulous opportunity to get out of the city and see a totally different life and environment. The lodge staff were just terrific as were our guides. The activities were varied (from hiking, canoeing, boating, fishing, bird watching and even a zip line. I loved that you could tailor your activities to your interests and enjoyed getting to... More

I can't recommend this place enough. We had an absolutely fabulous time here! My husband and I have been backpacking for almost 8 months around the world and this was one of our highlights. Are guide was amazing, the food was delicious and the staff were beyond helpful and kind. A once in a lifetime experience. Make sure you go... More

“Please, help yourself to whatever you like… this is your home” This is what our Amazonia Expedition Guides told us as they prepared our lunch in the jungle, after a 3+ hour hike in the Terra Firma portion of the Amazon. The Amazon is an adventure that every person that lives on this planet should not miss! Amazonia Expeditions, is... More

I can't say enough about this place. The lodge is rustic and gorgeous. The guides and staff are knowledgeable and friendly. The jungle is incredible. We loved the small size and how we were able to make friends with the other guests. Seeing the Amazon has been a lifelong dream of mine, and I'm so glad I chose Amazonia Expeditions... More

We landed at the airport in Iquitos and were met by the team from Amazonia Expeditions. After collecting luggage we boarded a bus to take us to the Iquitos office, where we were given our lunch bag and boarded the boat from the lodge. At the lodge we were greeted and shown to our rooms. We met our guide (Nelly,... More

We have just returned from 5 nights in the Amazon Jungle with Amazonia Expeditions and rate it exceptional. Our group included family from New Zealand and Florida (7 total) and we were treated like royalty. Upon arriving in Iquitos, we were greeted with a beautiful lunch then transported up the river to the lodge. Our guides, Christian and Celeste, were... More

I recently stayed at the Amazon Research Centre for 5 days with a friend while traveling South America. Our time in the Amazon (along with Machu Picchu) was the highlight of our trip. We cannot say enough great words about the entire staff at the lodge (especially the cooking crew!). Our guide, Manuel, was beyond amazing. We always felt safe,... More

Tour length: 5 days. Group: Three 20s-40s international and Peruvian friends Logistics: Everything was run in an INCREDIBLY smooth operation. I arrived on a Star Peru flight from Lima and took a flat rate taxi to the Iquitos AE office at noon. There, the friendly staff awaited me with a brown bag lunch and sent me off on a fast... More

If you're trying to determine where to book a jungle excursion, just stop looking and book your reservation with Amazonia Expeditions now. What an incredible experience. The group of guides is top notch-Christian was able to spot animals way off in the distance we would have never known existed, while also providing some great humor along the way. This is... More
