I didn't stay at the Green Track Hostel myself, but they were so kind to answer my questions concerning the boat travels from Pucallpa to Iquitos. I was really worried about my boyfriend who is doing this adventurous journey. The staff provided me with useful information. Thank you!

The Green Track Hostel is more like a guest house than hostel. You get given a key so you can go in an out as you please. Iquitos itself is a mad town, bustling with tuk tuks, local touts and surrounded by hot hot jungle. The Green Track Hostel was a great place to chill out as it's not exactly... More

Iquitos is a city you will like more the longer you stay there. Especially you stay at this peaceful 'island' in the middle of the hussle and bussle of this jungle city. The owner and the staff are exceptionally helpful and take care that you'll have a safe and interesting stay (pick-up service, asking around for boat 'schedules' - which... More

I stayed here when I came back from the Tapiche Reserve. It has everything a hostel should have: good facilities for the price, great staff, excellent breakfast, laundry round the corner, really fast wifi, a cat ... If you're up for a real jungle experience, go to Tapiche. Awesome doesn't even begin to describe it!

Myself & three friends stayed at this hostel for two nights, either side of our jungle visit & we weren't impressed. The owner was cold and unhelpful to us. He also seemed bitter that we had chosen to go with another company into the jungle, rather than through his own jungle company. The rooms are very basic and I wasn't... More

We're sorry to hear you were not satisfied with our service and facilities. Every bed is prepared with pillow and bedsheet. If your bed was missed, we would have happily supplied one if you had asked. We buy the best available 100% cotton bedsheets, so they do tend to "walk out" of the hostel and we do not always catch... A nice place, highly recommended for backpacking. The owner is great and caring for his guests. I'm not talking about the cat, though he is the actual ruler. All facilities a backpacker needs. Simple rooms and no hot water, but hey - it's the Amazon. Very nice kitchen and common room. No important downsides, a bit of a help-yourself kind... More

We stayed at Green Track for a week while we explored Iquitos. After a bumpy beginning due to a miscommunication wtih the taxi driver, and nearly getting kicked out because of it...we did manage to have a lovely stay in this well set up hostel! With three levels there is tons of space to hang out, including a roof top... More

Originally planned to stay here for just a couple of nights. Ended up loving Iquitos so much, we stayed a lot longer!! The people running the hostel really made it for us, they couldn't do enough to help us both in and outside the hostel. Rooms were also clean and social area cosy. Big breakfast was a definite bonus!

Stayed here 2 nights, one free night before going to the Tapiche Reserve for a 5 day stay in the jungle (out of this world awesome experience!) and on my return. The fantastic service started before I even arrived as I was picked up by the port where I had taken the boat from Leticia, Colombia. Travelling alone with a... More
