Spent 6 nights here... Great location, very friendly staff, breakfast included. Very affordable. This Hostel offers tours to The Tapiche Reserve, offering an authentic and environmentally responsible five day hiking trek of a very remote part the Amazon. Bring a Spanish dictionary or use a Spanish language App if you cannot Speak Spanish... When in Rome... Very comfy Hostel.

Stayed for a few nights in a 6 bed dorm and I really enjoyed my time in this hostel. Although it is very quiet (like many hostels in Iquitos), it was clean, comfortable, the WiFi worked, had a great terrace, nice common area with books/tv, good kitchen and the breakfast was awesome with different kinds of fruit plus an egg.... I really enjoyed my stay at Green Track Hostel. My group arrived before check-in but were able to get to our room right away. We were given a tour of the hostel and its amenities including showers, kitchen, lockers, and television room which I really appreciated! The beds were comfortable, and although it is always hot in Iquitos I was... More

Thank you for your stay and comments; we're happy to hear you enjoyed it. We're sorry about the internet issues you had. We purchase the fastest and strongest internet available in Iquitos, but as everything is by satellite, it is not always a dependable signal. We also have separate routers for different areas of the house, so one of those... More

We booked this hostel based on reviews on tripadvisor, plus what they said they provide in their hostel. We booked a double room with aircon and hot shower. After being in the jungle for 5days we were looking forward to a bit of "luxury". Hence why we booked the room with aircon and hot shower. But upon arrival, what we... More

Hello, we are sorry to hear you were disappointed with your stay. We do not and have never advertised hot water, whether it be on Hostelworld, on Hostelbookers, on our website or on our Tripadvisor profile, so we are not sure how you received that false impression. It would be of great help to us if you or anyone else... More

I really enjoyed my stay at Green Track Hostel. The hostel is basic but clean and has excellent breakfast! After a visit into the busy city the rooftop terrace is a nice and quite chill area. I got good recommendations about tours and I can totally encourage everybody to go to their own 'Tapiche Reserve'. One of the best experiences... More

Thank you for your visit; we were happy to be your home in Iquitos. We chose our location strategically to provide exactly the calm oasis you mentioned because Iquitos can sometimes be chaotic and overwhelming, especially closer to the Plaza de Armas and more touristic area. Our location also offers economical dining options and other local services that would otherwise... More

We booked this hostel after reading great reviews of it but were a little disappointed with the facilities. We checked into our private room to find that there was no door on the bathroom (fine for one person but not two), no sink, and hot water only on our first night (but it floods the bathroom when you shower). The... More

Hello Katie, Thank you for the review, we wish all visitors would write a review, for sure we would have way more positive ones. We are always improving and we are very happy that people let us know what we should do get better. I don't really understand how did you have HOT water in the first day it must... More

I didn't stay at the Green Track Hostel myself, but they were so kind to answer my questions concerning the boat travels from Pucallpa to Iquitos. I was really worried about my boyfriend who is doing this adventurous journey. The staff provided me with useful information. Thank you!

The Green Track Hostel is more like a guest house than hostel. You get given a key so you can go in an out as you please. Iquitos itself is a mad town, bustling with tuk tuks, local touts and surrounded by hot hot jungle. The Green Track Hostel was a great place to chill out as it's not exactly... More

Iquitos is a city you will like more the longer you stay there. Especially you stay at this peaceful 'island' in the middle of the hussle and bussle of this jungle city. The owner and the staff are exceptionally helpful and take care that you'll have a safe and interesting stay (pick-up service, asking around for boat 'schedules' - which... More

I stayed here when I came back from the Tapiche Reserve. It has everything a hostel should have: good facilities for the price, great staff, excellent breakfast, laundry round the corner, really fast wifi, a cat ... If you're up for a real jungle experience, go to Tapiche. Awesome doesn't even begin to describe it!
