We left after one night. The reason for this when we came with a delay we had to wait 3 hours to eat something. Hence we would go to the village to get something to eat. There was nothing to eat in the village said the cook. After some hours somebody came to explain several things. Since there's not much... More

Had a great time, the lodge was very authentic, the people of San Pedro are very humble and kind. The lodge staff made you feel at home, food and accommodations were up to part. Holmes was very attentive to our needs and made sure everything was taking care in a timely fashion. I def recommend this place. PS Saludos y... More

come with an open heart to meet with this Amazonian preserved village and find peace. team is lovely and will welcome you and take care of you. worries will fade away thanks to traditional houses and beautiful garden, delicious local food, local sightseeing, sunset/sunrises bathing in the clean river, and the happiest company of all the team and even the... First of all, you are going to be well fed! Portions are huge and plates of lunch or dinner are only 15 soles, and even better the food is phenomenal. Gino's staff (who happens to be a family) are amazing. Olme, Clare, and Brian take good care of their guests as Gino, the owner is usually in the city or... More

I had a great stay at this lodge, but it was quite different from how I imagined beforehand, and I would have benefitted from a clearer picture of how it was to set my expectations before I arrived. Firstly, do not expect pristine forest. This is very much the 'real' Amazon and I was a little surprised to see how... More

We’re an Aussie couple winging it through Peru. The San Pedro Lodge is only around 10 or so kms out of Iquitos - by boat of course. There are plenty of more expensive tours and lodges up the river but we were happy to be close to Iquitos so it was not too far to venture back in if needed,... More

We just finished 5 nights at San Pedro lodge, it is truly an amazing place, run by great people. If you're looking for an affordable way to do Iquitos and the Amazon, this is the place. Great tours, great food, great location! You need reasonable expectations, San Pedro is not a spa, nor a five star hotel, it is rustic.... More

This lodge is awesome! Never had such a good service and for a long time not such a good food! We were picked up in Iquitos by Jino hisself, our guide for the entire time, and he took care for us from the beginning to the end. He organized at least 3 motokarristas for the transport of us and all... More

I've written a more comprehensive review on my blog - http://travelling-miles.blogspot.com/2014/03/san-pedro-lodge-iquitos.html?m=0 But in a nutshell, San Pedro Lodge made my stay in the jungle amazing. The staff are fantastic, the food is delicious, and they offer great affordable tours of the area. It's about 45 minutes by boat to Iquitos city, so you're not completely isolated. But it's a great... More

This place is not only the cheapest lodge outside of Iquitos, but it provides the best experiences you could ever hope for. The tour guide Gena will keep you smiling with his jokes, which you can understand as his English is great. The three tours took you to many unique places with experiences you would not get in any other... More
