Our group of 8 people did the 5 day/4 night Jungle Explorer trip. Our guide, Rene was superb - he really made the trip special with his knowledge, great personality and sense of humor. My only gripe is the itinerary on the website states the lodge is a 70km journey away where in actual fact, it's roughly 10kms away from... More

My boyfriend and I really wanted to visit the Amazon while we were in Peru, but we only had a couple days to do so. The 2D/1N Ayahuasca Express seemed like a great option for us. We didn't have any problems with the management as others have mentioned - in fact, we had a very good experience! I was extremely... More

Everyone at Maniti was extremely accommodating from the beginning of our tour until the very end. My boyfriend and I had booked the a 12D/11N extreme Pacaya Samiria Reserve tour and a 2D/1N Ayahuasca tour. Maniti was there to pick us up from the airport as soon as we landed in Iquitos. The driver took us straight to the Maniti... More

If you like animals, you'll love this tour. We did the two days, one night tour and got to see everything from monkeys to parrots, toucans and river dolphins. The only downside is the heat and humidity: It does exhaust you and make you feel like not doing anything, which is a shame when you have so much amazing wildlife on... My wife and I had a fantastic experience in Maniti (3D2N). Our tour guide Rene was knowledgeable and flexible around what we wanted to do. Also the operator of the camp, a family, was very welcoming and prepared good meals for us. My only complaint is about the management, as they played the good old "credit card not working" game... Everything about this tour was amazing! Our guide, Jorge, was extremely knowledgable and you could feel his passion for the jungle and animals. The food was great. I only ate vegetarian, and the chefs were accommodating to that. The one night ayahausca ceremony was one of the greatest experiences of my life.

Spent half a week at Maniti with my father (60). Booked upon arriving in Iquitos and they had us at the lodge within a couple of hours. Overall we had a fabulous time. The staff at the lodge couldn't have been more hospitable, the food was AMAZING--all locally sourced, and the twice daily adventures with our guide Rene were unforgettable.... More

We did a 7 days/6 nights individual package booked directly in the office in Iquitos (3 nights camping in Pacaya Samiria followed by 3 nights at 'the' lodge). Overall we were not satisfied with Maniti as an organization, the lodge, and the manager Guido. 1) Two different lodges: - Guido (the manager) totally intransparently did NOT mention, that they run... Maniti Expeditions is an amazing tour of the the amazon river and jungle. I would highly recommend this camp to any one who is looking for a rustic journey into the jungle. Our tour guide Jorge was very knowledgeable and passionate about the jungle. He was always willing to help and took the time to give thorough explanations of all... More

After doing a lot of research, I did and still believe that Maniti offers the best bang for your buck in the Iquitos area. The lodge is about 75km away from Iquitos, which can be a pro or a con, depending on how adventurous you are. Many lodges 'sell' the fact they are 200+km away, but trust me, this is... More
