I cannot say anything negative about our experience, other than wish we could have stayed a few days longer. I was a little nervous about how I would deal with the mosquito population in the jungle, but even that was a piece of cake with the correct repellants and clothing treatment. Now on to the fun stuff...we had the most... More

I spent my whole life wanting to see the Amazon, and it did not disappoint. We had Edwin as our main guide, and occasionally worked with Alfredo during our 4d/3n trip. Both of them were extremely friendly and knowledgeable. We hadn't planned on the Ayahuasca experience, but it was offered and we had the very seasoned Alfredo as our guide... More

My boyfriend and I did a 5d/4n visit. The lodge/main room and bedrooms are simple enough, but being in the middle of the jungle I wouldn't expect more. The food is basic- lots of rice and eggs... and wonder bread. We enjoyed the jungle hikes, visiting palo alto, monkey island and canoeing. When we arrived, our river boat driver (who... More

Hello katcwalk, Thank you for taking the time to write us a review. In regards to the accusations about missing money from your room - the guests are the only users with keys to the locks for their rooms, no staff members nor other guests have access to this. As we mentioned to you while you were in Iquitos, our... More

I did the ayahuasca mystical. My tour guide, Ashooka was amazing. Incredibly knowledgable, flexible, and responsible. The lodge was really clean, good food, really nice staff. It was a VERY authentic experience, which I appreciated a lot.

Overall I had a great experience because the Amazon is absolutely fabulous! the lodge was ok, clean but very simple. the excursions you do during the day are also good. the guides are quite flexible and therefore you can join one group or the other depending what you want to do on the day. The guides were also good and... More

My girlfriend and I did the 3D/2N tour with Rene as our tour guide. We generally enjoyed the experience with memorable activities including piranha fishing, dolphin spotting, and seeing wild spider monkeys in the forest. Our particular tour experience is good for travelers who want to see the Amazon but not get completely immersed in it. I imagine that if... More

Dear Jay C, Thank you for taking the time to write us a review. Our lodge is located 70 KM downriver from the city of Iquitos, about a 2.5 hours boat ride from the city. Although our lodge is not the farthest lodge from Iquitos we feel that we are far enough from Iquitos to offer a truly authentic jungle... More

My boyfriend and I started our Peru trip by a 3D/2N in the Amazon with Maniti camp Expeditions. We had a wonderful time. Food was great (lots of peruvian specialties and we even got to eat the piranhas that we fished one day!!), they had jugs of drinking water for us so we never had to worry about it. Jorge... More

My tour guide Edwin was really great. After I got there I was offered to take more ayahuasca ceremonies so I did 3 total. The jungle walks and monkey island were awesome. The lodge was comfortable and I enjoyed the experience tremendously. The shaman was very nice and it was a very authentic experience.

I have traveled to the jungle in several other Central American and South American countries and I would say this was the most primitive experience I've had in this type of setting. Jorge was our guide and was great. He was always on the lookout for animals and anything that could harm us. On our hike in the jungle during... More

My boyfriend and I loved the daily excursions. My favorite was the one to see the ceiba tree. We also enjoyed canoeing in the middle of the forest. The lodge rooms were comfortable and clean. They all have their own bathroom. One of the nights, we stayed in a little hut in the middle of the forrest. It was amazing.... More
