Unfortunatly we selected the wrong tour. Exploring the Amazone was something I looked forward to for a long time. Of course it is nice to be in the green lung of the world, but the lodge was awfull. It isn't maintained at all. It's dirty (cigarette buds is the shower, moldy mattresses, ....) and half of the lodge was flooded.... More

While we are in the winter season it is the constant rains and rising river. Part of the house was flooded, right! Such is the nature and against it can not do anything. So we worked with the rooms that were not flooded; maintenance and cleaning is done by the staff of the house daily, we understand your concern, and... More

We spent 4 days in the lodge and had the most amazing and unforgettable experience, swimming close to wild pink dolphins, seeing sloths and baby cayman as well as getting to hang out and chat with local people. Our guide Carlos was extremely knowledgeable and was always happy to fit the tour around what the group wanted. The lodge is... More

I can't see how you can proclaim yourself as an eco lodge, practising sustainable tourism, while your guides take sloths out of their trees and TAKE THEM AWAY TO THE LODGE. There all the tourists picked up the poor sloth(WITH HER BABY) and took photos with her. She was clearly distressed as she clinged on to a pole. Along with... More

Excellent experience. Walter, the owner, and Raul, out guide couldn't be better. Really! It was a true and not touristic experience of the amazon. Accomodations we very satisfactory. Comfortable rooms and bath that good considering you were in the middle of the amazon. The food was excellent. Once again the people made it great. Raulwas incredibly knowledgeable and fun.

I stayed for 3 days in this amazing place and was introduced to the jungle by a very informative local guide named Raul. I wish I could have stayed longer as there is so much to see and do, yet so relaxing at the same time. I recommend to anyone! Zac from Australia

Great experience, guide raul was so friendly and helpful and made us feel at home. He really knows the jungle as he lives there in a village himself :) Lodge was great, food was nice, all the activities raul planned were great and we got to see so much wild life. Definitely recommend this lodge for anyone looking for a... More

Look no further for your Amazon experience, Walter and his employees are nothing but professional. The staff at his amazing hidden lodge in the Jungle are excellent the food throughout the tour was faultless. Our group of 4 Australians were lucky enough to get Raoul as our tour guide. He is a local to the area born and raised in... More

I´m a cyclist living as cheaply as I travel through South America. Experiencing the jungle and experiencing ayahuasca were at the top of my list of things to do. This was my first ¨tour¨ experience on my trip, and I cringed as I shelled out the money (although the prices were reasonable compared to the other tour companies). For three... More

We decided to go to Iquitos on a whim and were referred to Chullachaqui Lodge by a travel agent in Lima. Walter, the owner, was able to accomodate our last-minute trip and introduced us to our amazing guide, Raul. The lodge was very clean and simple, and the layout is very similar to local homes, which made us feel like... More

We met Walter on the street thinking that he is just another guy trying to sell the trip to the amazon. Which was actually true but in a way he seemed to be special. Proffessional with outstanding english. Me and my friend spent 2 days in the jungle in his lodge and it was an amazing experience. We explored the... More
