Our first room here had a nice view. It was very basic, but ok. We felt we were paying a bit much for it and inquired about a cheaper room. We spent the next couple nights in a dark room with a shared, kind of gross, bathroom. The room was nothing special, but was cheaper. My complaints about this place are with the breakfast and noise level. They have a sign advertising fresh orange juice and then served fake orange powder drink. They added a couple pieces of cold bread and jam and that completed the "breakfast". This is fairly common in South America, but the nasty orange juice (after seeing the sign for fresh orange juice) just sort of put it over the top.
At 7 am every day it was very loud. As our room faced the main lobby and there were at least 4 kids who live at the hostel getting up for school each day, it was loud between 7-8:30 am.
