The place, the service, the people and breakfast were excellent. I highly recommend to shower as early as possible and as soon as you get back from visiting the ruins. Or, check for hot water. If you are sure the water is hot under the sink, take a shower asap if not, welcome to a shower with fresh melted ice... More

I satyed here for two days and had a decent stay, large room good bathroom ect... I then went to the Sacred valley & Macchu Pichu and stayed here when I got back for one night. This time the room I had was much worse. Single bed and a tiny room, the barthoom however was massive, twice the size of... More

We stayed here for two nights as part of a Cusco/Machu Picchu package tour. Nice place, comfortable. As someone said, a little dated, but not in an unpleasant way. Staff was helpful and courteous. Plenty of computers for internet. Good breakfast. Location was OK. A little walk to the center but certainly manageable once you're used to the altitude!

I stayed for just 3 days in this hotel during my trip to Cusco and I must say I had a very great time there. The hotel is located in a quiet street, not so close to the main square as someone said here. The staff is very helpful and gentle. They offer you Coca Tea when you arrive in... More

Decent hotel, a bit dated on the inside but everything worked well. Really good shower and decent bathroom, massive room with TV and loads of channels and the staff are very nice and helpful. Only down side is it is 5-10 mins walk from main square but good value compared to some of more expensive hotels. Breakfast not bad either... More

On recent trip to Cuzco with family we stayed at La Casa de don Ignacio. The place had a nice homely feel and staff, especially security boys at the entrance always made us feel welcome. The showers were hot when they needed to be and it was always clean. The good selection at breakfast kept us fuelled up for the... More

Stayed for the week and couldn't ask for much more. Breakfast was included and had all the basics (including eggs) plus very fresh fruit. Free WiFi. 10 min walk from the main square or 3 sol in taxi. Staff were very helpful and tried to help when ever they could. Thanks for a great stay. I'll be back again for... More

This place was really great but every morning was torture trying to get me into the shower. I told the front desk repeatedly the hot water wasnt working but they didnt believe me or told me they would send someone to fix it but never did. Also I stayed for 5 weeks and the internet disappeared almost everyday for a... More

For the years I have been coming to Cusco and I know you can find quality accomodations for under $40 a night if you know where to look. My newest find is a quiet, clean, well managed hostal named "La Casa de Don Ignacio". I am impressed with the manager (Betsy) who runs a tight ship, as well as the... More

Hotel is a short distance from the main plaza (10 minutes walking). Staff is very polite. Problem was the room - very shabby, couldn't move around without the entire floor making noise - touched furnitue and parts would come off, shower was stopped up and the water from the last shower was still in there. :Even with the lights on,...
