It would be hard to find two hotels so diametrically opposed in terms of quality and service than Inkaterra La Casona and Inkaterra Machu Picchu Peublo and that both hotels belong to the same owners the fact is even more remarkable. My review of the the Machu Picchu hotel can be found separately but La Casona embodies everything that a... More

This elegant old mansion was tip top in every way. Service, privacy, location, dining, comfort and beauty. Given half a chance to return to Cusco, this is the best place to stay. At the end of the day it was a pleasure to return here. Spacious rooms, great bed linens, generous soaking tub, complete with bath salt and bubble bath.... More

Excellent location on the main square, this boutique hotel has just eleven suites and was once the home of Simon Bolivar. A converted Spanish colonial home, it is elegant, luxurious, and yet contemporary. The owner and staff aim to make it feel like a home, and they succeed. Nothing is too much trouble. We upgraded to a Suite Plaza, which... More

We chose this boutique hotel for our group of 8 and stayed 3 nights. It was the highlight of our celebratory South American adventure, and nothing was too much trouble. 2 mornings the staff were up from 4.30 a.m. to make sure we were served with breakfast. The rooms surround a beautifully lit courtyard and the hotel is located on... More

We had only two nights at this great place, I wish we had a week. Lovely, clean, great food, fabulous rooms, I can't say enough! Staff were always happy to help. Highly recommend this place and would come back again.

On our Peru tour, we opted for the premium hotel package, and our Cusco option was the Inkaterra Casona, an eleven-room boutique hotel. I don't think I would have ever intentionally chosen to stay at a hotel this small: I like "nice'" but I also like some anonymity. However, the Inkaterra pulled off the surprising task of delivering customized service... More

Very romantic setting with top notch service. Not ONE single complaint. EVERYTHING was perfect. If you want small, quite and romantic then look no further. Leave the kids at home and enjoy the peace and quiet. Stayed 3 nights, went to Machu Picchu and returned for 1 more night in the suite which was fantastic!

This place is simply beautiful, an old colonial mansion that retain its historical interest but with modern amenities, I can't say enough about this place and its staff. Andrea in particular went above and beyond to help us with loading photos we needed, and answering many questions. The rooms are gorgeous and the courtyard gives the place a feeling of... More

Wow! What a great hotel! We had three great days enjoying their outstanding service, great room, and fantastic location. Just one indication of how attentive they are: when we told them we had to leave at 4am for our Inka Trail hike, they suggested that they make coffee and pack us breakfast boxes to go.

La Casona is located on a beautiful small plaza just 2 short blocks from the Plaza Des Armas in Cusco. It is in an exclusive colonial mansion built around a quiet and picturesque courtyard. Although in the center of a bustling town it is perfectly quiet inside its' walls. There are only 11 suites in this hotel and we stayed... More
