The rooms looked nice enough, but the noise was unbearable. I barely slept. The room I was in was right by the front door and desk. I could hear the desk clerk clearing her throat, every vehicle that went by the hotel and got cigarette smoke in my room from the smokers standing in front of the hotel. The traffic... More

The location was safe...near the University, a convent and church. The hotel restaurant was just awful. A few of our party couldn't eat their meals. (Don't order the soup). Our party had three rooms and they were all very different in quality from each other. The breakfasts were pretty good. The courtyard was lovely.

Pros: LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION Cons: 1) Unfriendly staffs 2) Front desk called me at 9:30 pm, confirming for room charges, they should have wait till morn. I wasn't checkout till next two day. 3) I booked for 3 nights then gone for 4 days hiking, after the hike, I booked for one more day, so total 4 nights for two... More

We were on a G Adventures tour this May and stayed at this hotel 3 times (a different room each time). The first room was just off the Lobby and was quite noisy as a result. The toilet also kept running and leaked. We could also hear something scampering around within the ceiling space in the middle of the night... More

..first off, the bellhop was phenomenal (thank you very much sir) - he used his own phone to track down a bag left in our shuttle bus - and was kind throughout our 3 day stay. Quiet, clean hotel with beautiful artwork all over the hotel and in our rooms. Breakfast had many vegetarian options for us (fresh fruit selection... More

Good central location, within 10-15 min walk, if you dont mind altitude, to most major points. Front desk helpful, but need to be reminded of some staff (laundry was promised to be ready in am, didnt get it back till after 6 pm after asking twice, good that didnt have to leave that day). If you need to save some... More

We were on a G adventures comfort tour. Checked into the Taypikala for two nights. Our room 106 was totally unacceptable. Windows did not close properly, no sound proofing. We were on the street and heard the conversation in the next door shop till late at night. We woken up by a delivery truck exhaust fumes at 0500am. Shower curtain... More

Very good hotel for the money and close to the main tourist sights. We arrived early and the hotel staff allowed us an early checkin. Staff were very helpful. Room was very clean with a huge and comfortable king bed. Restaurant is really nice but we left early the next day so we missed breakfast. Overall a great place to... More

We checked in late last night and immediately were disappointed. We had to go down a set of stairs and back up a different set to get to our first floor room. Wifi didn't work in the room and had to go to the lobby to connect. The bathroom walls have mold growing in them, and the water closet has... More
