Comfy beds, great breakfast, helpful staff, nice decor in the common areas. Really enjoyed our stay here. ONE TIP: Don't use the Lavandería just up the hill on the same street as Taypikala. The old woman there turned all my white clothes pink despite explicit instructions that colours needed to be separated. The instructions were good in prefect Spanish, to... More

The hotel is well located, people are really nice and helping... Rooms are Ok and bed excellent. You can leave your luggages there the time of your trip to Machu Picchu, for example. Breakfast is Ok, but not the best coffee worldwide ;-) All in all, very good quality/Price rate.

The hotel is not what I expected. Not bad but not great. The rooms where ok but very weird layout. The hotel is in a good location. The restaurant was not good, very very slow and very expensive. The bed spred had large buttons on it and one feel off and the hotel charged me $50 U.S. dollars for it.... More

Hotel located within walking distance of Cusco's historic hub. Staff were the most attentive and helpful on my entire trip to Peru. Rooms modern and well furnished. Yes, you can hear noise at night, but if you choose to stay in the centre of a busy traveller city, that is pretty hard to avoid... Rooms are well-furnished, comfortable and clean.... More

What seems like it could be a good promising hotel, turned out to have enough disappointments to make it worth it to look elsewhere. We arrived in a group of 15, and let's just put it this way - within half an hour of arriving, more then 8 people in our group requested to have their room changed. They first... More

Good days, we are sorry that he has not liked the hotel and equally it upsets us that his comments do not adjust to the truth, the hotel never serves water of the faucet quite the water that is served to the guests is boiled water or jammed solid water, of equal way the elevator was not working because in... It is hard to find a room this spacious for the money AND it has a clean modern tub for hot baths during those cold winter months. I was lucky to get a room with a view on the third floor. And the staff was always kind and helpful. However, In all honesty, there were big detractors. The ongoing construction... More

Hotel Taypikala is located on a very narrow side street in the historic district of Cusco. The Plaza de Armas is about a 10-minute walk away from the hotel. The hotel is an oasis of calm if you are busy exploring ancient and sacred sites all day or shopping in the markets. The main craft market is just over two... More

Rooms are clean and tidy but no central heating -- you're going to have to use the provided space heater which takes awhile to heat up. That being said, it does keep the room warm. Lots of coca tea for altitude sickness and pretty good service. Although the location is near the Temple of the Sun it is a walk... More
