We had two stays of two nights each, separated by a trip to Puno. All of the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful, offering advice on places to eat and various shops. While we had our two day trip to Puno/Lake Titicaca, the hotel stored our large bags and had them ready for us on our return. The rooms... More

We were on a 3-week tour of Peru and Bolivia and stayed in three hotels in the Taypikala chain. They were all, BY FAR, the best hotels of our trip. Each one was 4-5 stars by American standards. Hotel Taypikala in Cusco is the flagship hotel and is located within walking distance of many local restaurants and historical sites. All... More

I was on a tour when I stayed at taypikala. It's about a 5-7 min walk to the main square. Its a good hotel, they have coca leaves and coca tea waiting for you when you arrive and just in case, they also have an oxygen tank! Depending where your room is it definitely can get loud at night with... More

This was exactly what we needed in between Lima and Machu Picchu. It's a great location, near shopping etc. and they provide great service. Not only do they have an oxygen mask ready if you need it, but they also have an urn of coca tea, and in the basement a selection of fruit that is free of charge. Our... More

Check in was easy and efficient, the rooms were spacious and very clean. The bed was comfortable and the room very quiet for a good night's rest. The bathroom was excellent with nice towels and plenty of toiletries. The breakfast was great and in a wonderful space looking out onto an interior courtyard and garden. The location was good, just... More

Charming hotel ... clean, spacious room, comfy beds, nice bathroom. Staff very helpful. Food excellent! Walking distance to sites, local restaurants and service; the amenities are great! Great support for those acclimating to altitude, the cocoa tea and oxygen flowed freely.

The location was excellent for exploring cusco. The staff was so nice and accommodating. They held our bags for us while we were gone and even made up boxed breakfasts that we could take with us when we had to leave extremely early to start our trek in the Andes. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were spacious. The... More

We stayed twice at this hotel during our tour of Peru. The hotel is close to Plaza de Armas and the artist area of San Blas. Good restaurants and museums. The service was excellent and breakfast buffet included.

We felt warmly welcomed from the moment we stepped in the hotel. We stayed in a comfortable, spacious triple room with 3 double beds on the ground floor. The hotel has in the reception area coca leaves and tea in case you feel dizzy or sick. Breakfast was good and staff is very friendly. If you intend to go to... More
