The hotel is located next to a chainsaw shop. Nothing wrong with that but it shows the section of town that it is in. The hotel has the most beautiful woodwork that I think I have seen in any hotel in Peru. The staff at the front desk was very helpful. They provided us directions and a map to where... More

The staff was really helpful, the hotel is well located, nice, clean and organised. We had a great time there. Good Breakfast and with traditional food. easy to go walking to the city centre and 20 min by taxi from the airport.

If you are not choosy at all, it's ok. We got stuck here due to a mistake made by the travel agency. Old carpets, old bathrooms, poor breakfast, coffee so strong you can break your spoon in it. Expensive for what they offer. No fridge in the room, simple hairdryer. There is a computer station in the bar but it... More

We spent four night at this hotel and it was OK. Do not expect high luxury. Beds are comfortable and bathroom is OK. TV has good selection of channels. Breakfast is average, it is good for a quick snack before your journey to Cuzco/Machu Picchu and surroundings. Take a taxi to the main plaza, it is the best option. In... More

This hotel was a decent place to stay at for our "layover" between Machu Picchu and Lima. The breakfast was decent along with the facilities. The staff was accommodating & provided us with everything that we needed. Our room was basic with TV but no fridge. A hair dryer is available in the bathroom but kept dying every 5 minutes,... More

I had a nice time in Cuzco, the hotel Mabey was excellent, the neighborhood was ok. I could see lots of cops in the area, very safe, I went in and out of the hotel and I just can't complaint, is not too far from the main plaza (taxi fare is about $4.00 soles = US $1.50)..One good experience is... Hotel is ok, staff ok, but it's in a bit of a rough looking neighborhood , no decent restaurant close by , the main square is far , and we heard gunshots and screams one night close by, the next day the hotel did have armed security added out front, so give them credit for that , but would prefer... I read a review once that stated that all hotels in Cuzco and Aguas Calientes are geared for your one trip to Machu Picchu: since no one goes twice, they don't have to worry about it. I.e. if they can get three-star rating from you then well done. So, they got it. Maybe it was the season, or maybe it... More

We booked through a travel agent . When we arrived we we given room 408 a windowless room on the buildings air shaft . We were kept awake all night by noises from the kitchen on the 6th floor. Next to a car parts shop with no eateries of worth nearby. 4 or 5 Soles for a taxi to the Plaza de Armas. I wept when we got here.
