The hotel is on the hillside overlooking the town center. Our room was on the top floor, with a balcony and a gorgeous view. It gets cold in Cusco, but there was a heater and thick wool blankets. The beds were comfortable, the shower hot. The breakfast was one of the better we had on a month long trip. It... More

We stayed at the Pension Alemana for 3 nights, and were impressed with the levels of service. The room is comfortable, and they have running hot water at all hours - we tested that in the early morning as well as late night, when it gets really cold. The room had heaters that made it cosy after stepping in from... More

We stayed a couple of days before and a couple of days after visiting Machu Picchu. The staff went out of their way to help us feel comfortable, book tours, and arrange transportation. It is a beautiful little place. The breakfast is good. I would come back again and recommend it to others. Sure, it's up the hill in San... More

Nice clean and affordable stay in Cusco before heading up to Aguas Calienties. About 25 mins away from Cusco airport and Poroy train station. I would not recommend a room by the main road as it can be loud. The shower and drainage in the bathroom needs improvement. Need to be able to control the heat in our room and... More

Stayed here before and after our hike to Machu Picchu. The staff stored our extra luggage that we didn't take on the hike without a fee, helped arrange our transportation to Ollyantaytmbo, called our cab for the taxi to the airport, and offered advise on local attractions. Great views of the city from our room and was just down the... More

This gem is located in the quaint San Blas neighborhood of Cusco. Being on a hill, it provides great views of the city which one can enjoy while eating their delicious breakfast (the dinners are excellent, too, and are a good price). There is a small but beautiful garden, the rooms are comfortable, and the staff very helpful. And it's... More

Fantastic service, great help, super clean, good breakfasts, called taxis, everything you could ask for... We stayed before and after our trek to Machu Picchu and loved our limited time here - we were usually out exploring the city.

My friend and I came here a few days before we hiked the Inca Trail and it was really cute. The complimentary breakfast buffet was pretty good, and when we had a couple of issues in our room, it was either fixed immediately or if it persisted, we were moved to another room. Great customer service, very clean and beautiful... More

We stayed at Hotel Pension Alemana for 4 total night in Cusco. It was a great location, in San Blas, that was about a 10 minute walk to the city center- Plaza De Armas. It was very quaint, clean and the staff was helpful. They have unlimited Coca tea which is helpful for the altitude sickness. They also coordinated multiple Cabs... More

This hotel was extremely well-run, comfortable and had everything we could possibly need. Climbing up to it was a struggle sometimes when we were still adjusting to the altitude but the view of the city from our room made it worthwhile. Breakfast at their restaurant, Siete Siete, was delicious and we ended up having a few more meals there. There... More
