I went back to Cusco earlier this month with 5 more friends, and again, this place was amazing and exactly what I needed during my stay. Going back to this hostel is like seeing an old friend you haven't seen in a while. The staff is the best around. Elena, Nadine and Marlene will greet you with smiles and they... More

This is a very well-run little hotel with a pretty garden in a great location in San Blas, a short walk to the superb ruins of Sacsayhuaman, and a few (steep) picturesque streets above the Plaza de Armas. Nice rooms, very comfortable beds, great showers. (We switched rooms after one night, see room tips.) The breakfast in the pretty terrace... More

This hotel is located high up the hill and, therefore, away from the hustle and bustle and very peaceful. Despite having to climb steep steps upon your return each day we didn't mind this as you usually only do this twice a day. Only 10 mins to main sq but walk back can be a challenge only due to the... The fact that it is up the hill a little above most of the hustle and bustle makes it a quiet oasis. The rooms were simple and a bit spartan, but cozy. The design was like a chalet, and the view was quite nice looking out over the Cusco rooftops. Staff went out of their way to answer questions and... More

Overall, we were happy with this hotel. It is in a good location in Cusco, about 10 minutes walk up the hill from the central square. Room was of reasonable size, and the bed was very comfortable. The staff were friendly, and very helpful. The garden is beautiful! While we didn't notice much road noise in our room, there was... More

Pension Alemana is very well located, in San Blas overlooking the city, but only a 5 to 10 minute walk to Plaza de Armas (the walk back takes somewhat longer, particularly if one has not acclimatised to the altitude). The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable, with good hot showers, and at least some of them have a nice view... More

We only stayed here one night but had a pleasant experience. We arrived somewhat late in the evening, but reception was expecting us and checked us in quickly. Nice room, decent shower and wifi, and a nice breakfast in their hotel restaurant the next day. My only note is that it is an uphill walk from the main attractions in... More

We stayed there after travelling in Peru for almost four weeks and enjoyed it thouroughly. Nice rooms where everything worked as promised (warm water, heater, good beds, very clean, safe). Lovely, well-maintained garden with some tables and chairs, very helpful staff, fantastic view of the city from the breakfast table at the little café (good coffee and good Pisco Sour... More

Lovely setting in San Blas area which is very close to Plaza de Armas. Setting is delightful with colorful garden, english speaking staff, great breakfast and very comfortable rooms. A little noisy in morning but not from the street at least. MOstly guests moving about. We were under the restaurant (rooms 304/305) so could hear breakfast beginning to be served... More

It is located in a nice area (el Barrio de San Blas) and you will enjoy great views over the city. The rooms are confortable, the garden is luxuriant, the staff very helpful and breakfast is absolutely delicious! Highly recommended.
