The main redeeming factor for this property is location: Close to downtown, restaurants and shopping, short taxi ride to Wanchaq Rail Station, and located on a mostly quiet pedestrian street adjacent to the historic Santo Domingo Convent. A few Soles will get you easily delivered to the airport. (Taxis cost more when arriving at CUZ, presumably because the AA charges... More

Hostal Pascana is located in the downtown area of Cusco adjacent to the Santa Domingo Convent. It is only a couple of blocks away from the main square and with easy walking distance to restaurants, cafés, shopping and the main city attractions. The location is ideal as it is very central, yet being on a pedestrian-only side street, it is... More

We stayed at the Hostal Pascana during an Intrepid tour of the Cusco region of Peru. Although sometimes communication was difficult, the staff were friendly and the rooms were generally clean. The rooms themselves were very small and the tiny bathrooms quickly ran out of hot water. This was irritating after desperately needing a shower after a day hiking around... More

The need for a new hostel became part of our travel itinerary. It is a clean hostel. It's in a nice part of the neighborhood. The service isn't great. The breakfast isn't great. Rooms in the back and on the second floor are better. They set breakfast up at night when trying to sleep and guests of the hostel can... More

We stayed here two nights...the night before starting the 4 day Inca Trail trek and the night after finishing it. It's a nice little place. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean, quiet, warm and had a private bathroom with a large shower. The hot water was not steady but our showers were perfectly fine. Breakfasts... More

Stayed here on a tour so not sure of the cost of the rooms, but definitely don't pay over 40 a night if you book on your own- there are better options. Basic rooms, not the cleanest- had some bugs in ours each night to clear out, bathroom not the best- wasn't exactly dirty but not exactly clean either- I... More

On appearance this hostel was good. A basic room with private bathroom reasonably close to the main square. But this was the end of our positive experience. (Oh and the staff were ver friendly) The information sheet said permanent hot water and that all rooms have heaters. Given the coldness of the location both are essential. Our room had no... More

Stayed in this Hostel both in the lead up to and after an Intrepid Inca Trail tour, which used this Hostel as a base. The room was basic with a soft mattress and warm bedding. Shower was OK but took a while for the hot or lukewarm water to appear and only in a light stream of water. Breakfast was... More

We stayed here for 3 night before our Inca Trail Trek, and the night following the trek. It was organized by our tour operator. We stayed in room 204 that is just above the courtyard where they serve breakfast. This was a really cute room with a loft. The bathrooms was small but clean. The beds are very soft which... More

We stayed here as part of our intrepid Inca trail package. Was one night at the start and one at the end. Because we were getting into Cusco a day early to acclimatize to the altitude we added an extra day to the start. In retrospect, maybe not the best idea. The location is great, but the facilities aren’t the... More
