My boyfriend and I stayed here for three nights, two before our trek to Machu Picchu and one afterward. The staff were very helpful, arranging for our airport pickup, calling cabs, giving us directions, and allowing us to store our large bags while we were trekking. Breakfast was delicious. It was made to order and served early enough that we... More

I was really impressed by the staff at Amaru 2, so friendly and helpful beyond expectation. The accommodation itself is super too. We stayed here on two occasions, on our first and last nights in Cusco. They have a free pickup shuttle from the airport and on leaving they got us a taxi for 15 soles (about 20 - 30... More

This place is great, don't think twice about it! Location, views, staff, all perfect. I also have stayed in Amaru I, the same quality and standard, had a great time and felt at home in this beautiful Inca Town.

Stayed here during our week in Peru, due to a mix-up at the other Amaru location. By far, this was the better accommodation! Rooms were comfortable and roomy, with large bathrooms. Views of the city are spectacular. Hotel staff was phenomenal - most spoke very passable English, and they all went out of their way to help us with our... More

There was 4 adults traveling together and we all loved this place ! A nice comfy bed, GREAT STAFF !!!, great neighborhood, simple breakfast, and just over all good time. We were only supposed to stay here 2 nights but ended up booking an extra because we wanted another day of solid rest....

We stayed here 3 nights then left for the Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu and returned again for a night. Our first room on the second floor was tiny. We couldn't find a place to have our two carry-on suitcases open. The bathroom was up some steep stairs inside our room and was also miniscule. The room on our final... More

We stayed here for 2 nights before we did the Inca Trail and then 2 nights after. The staff were helpful and friendly and the breakfast was lovely with fresh orange juice, fruit salad and grains, yoghurt, coffee, bread rolls and an egg cooked whichever way you like every morning. You would not believe this was a 2 star hostel... More

Rooms beds bathrooms all comfortable and not spartan. The hotel is quiet, in the interesting San Blas district a few minutes walk from the city's central square. The breakfast is excellent for the price. The staff are all helpful and courteous. No problem to store your bags while you set off for Machu Pichu. Many good restaurants in the streets... More

I recommend this place highly! The staff was so friendly and accommodating! I don't speak much Spanish, but that was no problemo. We booked Amaru I originally, but were picked up at the airport free of charge and taken to Amaru II. I was told there was some renovation at Amaru I and they felt we would enjoy II better.... More

My fellow travelers and I were given a recommendation from a friend to stay here while in Cusco. It was tucked away from major hustle and bustle, but was still close to bars/markets/restaurants. The rooms were nice, spacious, had a hot shower (which you will realize is a luxury in Peru). There was a television in our room that we... More
