We were recommended to stay here by the company we are doing our Inca Trail with. Fantastic recommendation! Our private room was more like a hotel room, certainly not typical hostel standards. Great location out of the hustle and bustle but within close walking distance to the main square of Cusco. In addition our favourite restaurant that we discovered in... More

We stayed for 2 nights after doing our classic inca trail. It is a beautiful hotel with amazing rooms and beautiful gardens. The breakfast and the service was decent but although it was quiet expensive, 60 dollars for a double room, ( i always speak for peru prices ) we didn't have wi fi in our room, although it was... Amazing views, comfortable rooms and extremely helpful staff. We stayed here on and off during our 9 day trip in Peru and from day one we're greeted by friendly staff who helped us with everything we needed during our stay. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Cusco.

My family of four (mom, dad, 13-year-old and six-year-old) just stayed at the Amaru II as a launching and landing point for our high Andes trek with Amazonas Explorer. We stayed there a total of 5 nights and felt very comfortable and at home. The neighborhood was in a quiet section of San Blas. Breakfast was reliably good. The staff... More

The hotel was good with very helpful and pleasant staff. The rooms were good. The breakfast could have been better as it was the same every morning and being a vegetarian did not help. Overall it was a good value for money and nice as there was a little walk from the main plaza.

We stayed 5 nights at Amaru I and intended to stay another 2 nights after our Inca Trail hike. Unfortunately we made a mistake with our booking dates and we had to switch to Amaru II for the two nights after the hike. Its a nice hotel (like Amaru I) but its just not quite as nice.

we stayed here in september and the room was just way too cold. the heater, if you can even call it that, provided heat for only things within a 1 mm radius of the heater itself. the breakfast was meh. they liked to cook things a lot with the microwave. the meal doesn't provide much protein so you will get... This is a lovely guest house in a quiet area of Cusco, not too far from the main square and close to the lovely San Blas area. The staff were lovely - really friendly and helpful, and the rooms were clean and spacious and with nice decoration and furniture. The inner courtyard was really lovely, with plants, trees and chairs... More

Comparatively, this place was very luxurious -- very nice rooms, the most comfortable beds I experienced in all of Ecuador and Peru, HBO (in English!), in-room heaters (!), and an absolutely delicious breakfast. The bottomless coca tea and view of the city from the back of the hotel are nice additions. The wifi and hot water were a little spotty... More

Our stay in this place was great. The hotel is really nice and the internal garden is nice and peaceful. Our rooms were clean and spacious with a nice view to the city. they also have heaters, which are highly appreciated for the very cold nights in Cusco. The staff was very nice and helpful. They arranged our tours and... More
