My girlfriend and I needed to acclimatize before doing a 4 day trek into the Andes. We toured around Cisco and needed a place to stay. The Amaru II was great! It was in a good location, had friendly staff and provided a nice breakfast every morning. They stored our bags during our trek and we were not worried about... More

This cute little hostal is quite clean. It has hot water (for showers only) and heat (at night only). Not every place offers hot showers so be sure to ask. The price includes breakfast, and it's basically a basket of breads, yogurt with fruit and cereal, and eggs. The staff here is very friendly. You can also ask the hotel... More

This is a pretty hotel, on a good location, just a few minutes by foot from the Plaza de Armas. The rooms, normally, are clean. The breakfast is no buffet, but is good. There is a good view on Cuzco from the hotel and the hotel is located in a colonial house. But the first night I had to spend... More

This hotel was very good for us. Not right at the city center but only 5min away on foot. The room was nice and we could let our big luggage there while going to the Machu Picchu. Being a little over the city gives a nice view.

Good location in the San Blas neighborhood. The front desk was very helpful and we were able to book a driver for a full day in the sacred valley for 230 soles. The breakfast was good enough and you can eat very early, starting at 5:30 AM (before leaving for Machu Picchu for example). Our room on the ground level... More

This pertains to Amaru I and Amaru II, as they are under the same ownership. Not knowing the details of the process for visiting Manchu Piccu (bus tickets, train tickets, entrance pass, etc.), I decided to book this through Amaru in advance. Instead of looking out for its customer, Amaru exploited my lack of knowledge, wildly overcharging me. When asked... More

We stayed here for overall 3 nights during our visit to Cusco and Machu Picchu, and we really liked this experience. We were actually booked at their Amaru Hostal I, but they had us moved here, but we did not complain. They have a very nice setting, pretty good rooms and facilities. Nice views from this place toward the Cusco... More

I escorted a group of high school students on a Spanish Immersion trip to Peru and we spent 3 nights here. The location is safe and within easy walking distance of the historic district, market and central Cusco. This is not a hostel in the traditional sense but more like a small economy hotel. Rooms were certainly adequate as a... More

This hostel was very nice. We stayed here for 5 nights. Each room can have 2-4 beds with their own private baths. There is always hot water in the shower. Comfortable and nice rooms. Breakfast every morning is included which consists if coffee, tea, eggs, fresh fruit and bread. Breakfast starts early at 530am. The WiFi can be in and... More

There are a couple great things about this Hostel. My husband and i stayed here for 3 nights and 4 days before we headed out to the Inca Trail. The rooms were spacious, bed was comfortable, clean, and the shower was great. The food was simple but enough and delicious, and they have endless pots of coffee and coca tea!! They... More
