The web photos of this hotel look lovely- do not be fooled. This was our worst hotel in Peru by far. We booked MONTHS in advance, but when we arrived we were put into a tiny room (my husband is 6'2") with a minute window, a single light, one (tiny) bedside table, a blocked toilet that stank and a bathroom... Event thoug this hostle is not new at all!! The beds are not the comfiest but after a good walk feels like a 5 stars! The people there are very warm and always ready and in a good mood to help you.

Before going to Machu Picchu and while visiting some inca cities, we were placed in this hotel by our travel agency. For U$35/night we should have stayed in a different place. It all seemed old (Carlos V must have lived there...). The room was too small and our spring bed was uncomfortable. The bathroom was also tiny and the shower... More

We used this hotel as our base while in Cusco. While the staff were fantastic and couldn't have been more helpful, I found the hotel itself a little shabby. It gets quite cold here at night but the bed linen was inadequate and only had 1 tiny pillow per guest - we were asking for extra pillows on a daily... More
