The staff welcomed us always with a smile and were very helpful. The breakfast included bread, jam, chees, ham and eggs with juice and coffe/tea. The Hostel itself was very cute but the showers are soooo cold, because of the window. They have a big variety of Tours which are good but need more improvement. Thank you for everything :)

Cusi Wasi is a nice place to base yourself in Cusco while acclimatising. Rooms are set around a covered courtyard. Staff are reasonably/somewhat helpful. The location requires a bit of a walk (4/5 small blocks) to the central square. Search around for the best offer as we found a few different rates for the same room. Advertised on the website... I can recommend this hostel (visited 02/2014). Helpful staff, great tour options and excellent service handling the tours. No heating was a little strange at first but the bed was good and there were enough sheets and blankets, at the end that, no heating, did not mean a thing. Location was great, short walk from plaza de Armas. In breakfast... More

there was no hot water, no heating, no coca-tee, and it was christmas! that means, everything is closed for a few days. no gas and no planing ahead! never go there! the receptionist very arrogant. if you leave your luggage there, they forget it in the rain. how is that possible?

I highly recommend this hostel in Cusco. The staff are warm and welcoming, they offer excellent tours in the city and to Machu Picchu, and the rooms are cozy and comfortable. The location is a bit far from Plaza de Armas, but only about a 15-min walk away -- at the end of the day, it's nice to get away... More

I stayed for a few days at Cusi Wasi and really enjoyed my stay. There might be hostels nearer to Plaza de Armas but for me the cosy feeling and the helpful staff were of extreme importance. As a lone traveller I was worried at first about going out on my own in Cuzco but thankfully I never experienced any... More

Please be warned that the hotel is not where it is marked on the trip advisor map. It is 15 blocks away. Very very very inconvenient. Didn't end up staying here as we wanted to stay around plaza de armas. Especially difficult when lugging around your stuff

True: we were wrongly located on the map. I don't know who put us there; it wasn't any of us. I have immediately informed TripAdvisor of our correct location in Santa Ana, the upper part of town. Not true: we are 15 blocks away. That is a huge exageration. We are 4 blocks away from the Plaza de Armas, a... More

Our stay at Cusi Wasi Hostal was one of the best experiences we've had in our travels in staying at a hostal by far. The ambiance was ever so peaceful and refreshing. The room was very comfortable and gave you the satisfaction of feeling at home. The staff there were very professional, friendly & helpful in assisting you on a... More

My daughter and I stayed in Cusi Wasi for one week in October 2013. The room was small but adequate and clean, the beds were very comfortable. We asked about the hot water, and were informed that it must be opened for a couple minutes before it warms up. There was always plenty ot water for taking a shower. It... More

The good: The staff was excellent and very helpful. Breakfast was typical for the hostel type places in Peru. The lobby area was very comfortable and a nice place to relax between outings. Our shower was good with plenty of hot water, but others in our group had problems with the showers and TVs. Wifi was good most of the... More
