Welcoming staff, airport pickup, great hot water pressure, comfy bed, close to the town center and stored our luggage while we were hiking... ...but cold inside, windows only to an interior walkway, breakfast of eggs/omelette, bread and jam, tea/coffee for breakfast (suggest adding some fruit) Decent place, pretty good value, but there are probably better deals to be found in... The room: very small and difficult to move around in. It has a small en-suite but our shower sprayed everywhere which meant you got wet hair even if you didn't want. The bed seems smaller than a double and is pushed against the wall. The top of the bed (no bed head) can't be positioned against the wall so you... More

This is a secure hostel 20 minute walk uphill from centre, perfect for acclimatising to walking uphil at high altitude. Our room was small but clean with nice external undercover seating area. Bed was good size with sheets and blankets, but the room was cold at night. Hot shower and hot drinks available in communal area throughout the day. Breakfast... More

Excelent in so many ways! To feel at home, the people are warm and welcoming, very nice! They pick you up from the airport and are very friendly! It shows they also have a lot of experience with travelers and tourists of all kinds. If there is any tour you are interested in (including different Inka Trails), there is no... More

The staff welcomed us always with a smile and were very helpful. The breakfast included bread, jam, chees, ham and eggs with juice and coffe/tea. The Hostel itself was very cute but the showers are soooo cold, because of the window. They have a big variety of Tours which are good but need more improvement. Thank you for everything :)

Cusi Wasi is a nice place to base yourself in Cusco while acclimatising. Rooms are set around a covered courtyard. Staff are reasonably/somewhat helpful. The location requires a bit of a walk (4/5 small blocks) to the central square. Search around for the best offer as we found a few different rates for the same room. Advertised on the website... I can recommend this hostel (visited 02/2014). Helpful staff, great tour options and excellent service handling the tours. No heating was a little strange at first but the bed was good and there were enough sheets and blankets, at the end that, no heating, did not mean a thing. Location was great, short walk from plaza de Armas. In breakfast... More

I highly recommend this hostel in Cusco. The staff are warm and welcoming, they offer excellent tours in the city and to Machu Picchu, and the rooms are cozy and comfortable. The location is a bit far from Plaza de Armas, but only about a 15-min walk away -- at the end of the day, it's nice to get away... More

I stayed for a few days at Cusi Wasi and really enjoyed my stay. There might be hostels nearer to Plaza de Armas but for me the cosy feeling and the helpful staff were of extreme importance. As a lone traveller I was worried at first about going out on my own in Cuzco but thankfully I never experienced any... More
