The Ashiana is a interesting place, but have some serious problems, especially if you consider that a basic hotel have to provide you at least a good sleep and bath, with hygiene. The location is good, in the center of Cusco, but you have a train station around the hotel, and you can hear the noise of the trains around... More

The hotel is located near the historical center of Cusco, next to the Cathedral with the same name. There is a taxi stand near the hotel - very comfortable for us. The owner is very kind and helpful woman that gave us very useful advices and help. The rooms are suitable and correspond the prices. The cleaning could be improved... More

Firstly I would like to say how disappointed I am with this whole experience of Ashiana. A few days previous to our stay, we visited the Makhiana. This restaurant is owned by the same people, it was empty, the food was an average change but the lady said she gives the leftovers to the homeless so I rated it 5... More

The hotel is managed byan indian couple and for us,Indians, it was a great experience because of the location. It is right next to San Pedro cathedral and opposite to San Pedro market. All sights in historical area of cusco are nearby. Taxi stand is just outside and the plaza de aramas is five minutes walk away. Cocoa tea is... More

+ hotel is nicely situated at plaza san pedro and has basic, comfortable rooms. - Very shabby business is run in this seemingly nice place!! Uninterested staff. Very minimal breakfast (no milk or yoghurt available for the cereals, we could use the warm milk meant for coffee we were told). The laundry I had trustily left for washing I got... More

I booked this hotel as a way to acclimate to the altitude in Cuzco before doing a 4 day trek on the Inca Trail to Macchu Picchu. When we arrived it looked like they couldn't find our reservation but was still able to find us a room and honor the price that we booked it at. The rooms were what... More

My family and I checked into the hotel our first night in Cusco before heading off to Machu Picchu the next morning. The hotel has so much potential. It used to be a monastery that connected to a church. There is apparently still an active order of nuns that oversee an orphanage for girls on the property. None of the... More
