Once again, we chose to spend part of our Michigan winter south of the equator, "summering" in Cuzco, Peru. Since we were so delighted with last year's accommodations at El Labrador, we didn't hesitate in booking the HOSTAL for 2015, as well. El LABRADOR is on a quiet, side street just a 5-minute walk from the beautiful Plaza de Armas... More

We've stayed 8 nights in total in El Labrador and we felt like at home. Estela, the owner is always making sure you're comfortable and helps you with some very useful information about Cusco and surroundings. The place is well located, at a walking distance from the center, but far from the crazyness of the night life; The breakfast is... More

Estela and her staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is good. Nice homely little rooms. Can be very quiet or a bit noisy, depending on what's going on in the common area, but it's not a party hostel and most guests are in bed early. There's an affiliated hostel next door where most rooms are quiet as they're not... More

We stayed here two night before our trek to Machu Picchu and one night after. The owner was incredibly helpful and friendly throughout our stay. The rooms are basic with hot water. The breakfast is basic of eggs and bread with tea or coffee. Wonderful view from the breakfast area. Location is slightly nerve wrecking since you walk down a... More

We had a booking via expedia - when we arrived we were told there was no booking. They referred us to the guest house next door and said that it would be cheaper. We agreed to stay there before our trek and made a booking with El Labrador directly for our return. When we returned we were again told there... More

We stayed in El Labrador for 4 or 5 nights and had a wonderful time. I was pretty ill for a few days and the lovely lady was very caring. The rooms are spacious and nicely decorated. The kitchen area is pretty small to cook in but there's a lovely view out of the panoramic windows. We have never been... More

I have stayed at all kinds of places from luxury resorts to less luxury places depending on what I am doing and who I am with. I spent 2 weeks in and around Cusco both here and at Palacio Del Inka. (As well as Puno etc) In fact both were good experiences. The rooms are spotless, the breakfast is great... More

The place was excellent, the prices also were excellente, the attention by the staff from the hostal was amazing, and the advices to visit places in Cuzco were wonderful. Also, the food that you recieve in your breakfast was delicious. The neighbor, where the hotel was located, was very secure. From Martin & Sonia, Costa Rica.

This is a lovely find in Cusco, tucked away down a side street away from the hustle and bustle, but only a very short walk to the main square. The staff are so friendly and helpful, our room was small but clean with great WiFi access and a nice hot shower. The breakfast was bread and jam with the option... More

Pros: - Great location (about 5 mins walk to Plaza de Armas) - Owner is lovely and will go out of her way for you - Double room is very spacious Cons: - TERRIBLE noise. The walls are paper thin so you can literally hear EVERYTHING that happens in the hostal - from the comings and goings of guests and... More
