I went to cusco with my girlfriend on holydays and from the first day we arrived at Wara Wara we felt at home because of Miguel . He is a rather modest and kind person and always helped me in anything I needed for example he made us coca tea as soon as we arrived and throughout our stay. We... More

The owners of the hostel are nice, but somewhat distant. The view and location is great, but the hostel itself is lacking in some ways. The walls are paper thin in this hostel, and any rooms near the common area are not shielded at all from noise. I thought perhaps the previous reviews were exaggerating, but they were not. The... Miguel and Vivianne were very prompt in answering my emails. They were very nice people in person. They let us store our luggage while we were on trek and even lend my wife a walking stick. The view of Cusco from the terrace is amazing. Of course, the price for this view is a 10-15 minute steep walk from Plaza... More

I've read all the bad and average reviews posted here and there is some truth in them. The rooms located around the atrium can be a bit noisy if people are there and it is also true that this place is the owners home. BUT despite the location of the rooms we never ever had to complain about any noise... More

Many pluses- great view, friendly hosts, nice breakfast. But a few cons-cold water, noisy, and A LOT of steps from the square. A bit awkward as this is their home. I don't like to feel like I am imposing on someone to ask for something. Somehow need to separate home from business to call it a hostal. Otherwise it is... More

The owners are a delight, very friendly and hospitable. Miguel is very personable and eager to make one feel at home. We greatly enjoyed our conversations. The daily breakfast was great - freshly squeezed juice (smoothies), coffee and tea, omelets with small sausage and delicious bread (favorite) with fruit spread. They have arguably one of the best views of Cusco.... More

I booked rooms here due to the glowing reviews, but was a bit disappointed, mainly due to the noise in the central rooms: Pros: - Close to San Cristobal and Sacsayhuaman - Rooms are quiet IF outside the main atrium - I think there were 2-3 of these - Nice view - Friendly staff Cons: - A bit of a... Due to the raving reviews on Tripadvisor I had expected this hostal to be pretty awesome. In some ways it was, in other ways it wasn't. We stayed here twice in two different rooms during our trip. The owners are really nice, helpful and really make you feel at home! The location of the hostal is both beautiful, cute and... More

We stayed at Hostal Wara Wara for one night at the end of June, and were pleased with our stay. We were picked up at Cusco's airport by a driver that HWW had arranged for us, and were able to check in early. HWW's manager (apologies, can't remember his name) gave us a map of the city and was happy... More

We spent a total of 4 nights with Miguel and Viviana on the front and back end of a Salkantay Trek to Machu Picchu and enjoyed our stay very much. The view from two rooms we stayed in were incredible, and the view from the porch off the family room and the upper room which also serves as a restaurant... More
