This hostel was one of the worst hostels we have ever been to! The reception was not helpful what so ever and also very rude! The tour desk lady spoke to us like we were idiots because we did not understand exactly what was included, time tables etc. The garden in the back looked like a dumpster, toilets filthy.. The... We stayed for a couple of nights and really enjoyed ourselves. We turned up as a group of 6 unannounced and were told (unsurprisingly) that they had no space. However the owner put us all in the TV room for a tiny fee and we got to chill out in there all night, they set up extra pillows, duvets etc.... More

Less than a 5 minute walk from the main square and most of the attractions this hostel definitely has one of the best locations. However, the full-time staff was not helpful (bar, front desk, or tour agent). I say full-time since they rely heavily on volunteers who have extended stays. These people were great, luckily. The bar staff however are... More

I backpacked Peru for a month in July. Kokopelli was by far the best hostel I stayed in. I met amazing people, including the staff. The location is perfect (5 minute walk to the plaza to shop and eat), the showers are hot, the beds are comfy and the food at the bar is amazing. Kokopelli also has a hostel... More

i loved this hostel for its HOT showers, REALLY comfortable beds, extremely helpful staff, decent free breakfast, fun bar and comfy lounge areas.. BUT the lounge areas are all out in the open which means it is COLD to sit and use your computer. also, the sound-proofing is terrible which means it´s very loud at night especially on the weekends... This hostel is very comfortable, clean, and very close to the main central historic area. Hot showers, breakfast including : eggs, jam, butter, juice and coffee is nice. The staff is very helpful and friendly. They have a huge luggage room so we could left your luggages before going to Machu Picchu and we take them when we were back.... More

We stayed at Kokopelli four a total of four nights, two nights on either side of our Inca Trail trip. A small snafu with our Inca Trail guide service meant that we had to rearrange our travel plans last minute, and Kokopelli was lenient in allowing us to shift our dates around. In light of these changes, we were unable... More

Great vibe at this place. It's pretty chill and the rooms are quiet and fine for sleeping. However, they have a great bar and center area as well. Staff is friendly and helpful. Lockers in room for each bunk and a storage room for large bags. Good location within the city, close to the main square and consequently restaurants and... More

Very close to the main square. It has a nice atmosphere and the staff is very friendly. It is easy to access, rooms are clean and you get warm breakfast in the morning. We stayed here for 2 nights after coming from the sacred valley. They saved our luggage for us before going away to Machu Picchu so we didn't... More
