We arrived at Kuntur Wasi at 7:30 AM, after being up all night and even though the check-in is at 11, the owner, Señora Maria, arranged for us to sleep at a different room until ours was ready. The rooms are small but comfy and just what you need after a day of adventures. There's free WiFi, breakfast is included... More

Great hotel in Cuzco's San Blas district. Lovely rooms with view over Cuzco, clean, hot shower, laundry service, Wifi and 2 computers for free use. Maria, our host, awaited us with open arms at the airport and made our stay in Cuzco unforgettable. Every morning she greeted us over breakfast and gave us tips for our tours around the inca... More

We stayed at Kuntur Wasi for 2 days at the end of October and Maria made us feel right at home from the moment we stepped in the door with a hot cup of coca tea - she's so sweet and always all smiles! Before we arrived I emailed Maria for assistance in getting tickets too Machu Picchu - as... More

Kuntur Wasi is a beautiful place, run by a fantastic lady, Maria. She and her family are super welcoming and helpful with whatever it is that you need. the place is very nice and clean, with free internet and a great continental breakfast ... hard boiled egg, ham, bread, tea, coffee. Maria let me leave my backup there while I... More

Doña Maria makes this place special. She kindly organized our pick up in the airport and received us with coca tea and the best advices to survive Cusco. The room were ok, we would love to have a heater but in reality the beds have like four layers so you sleep really warm and nice. Great and powerful hot water,... More

This hotel had just about the nicest and most helpful service of any I've ever been in (50+ countries). They tended to my wife's altitude sickness with coca tea and sympathy, served breakfast extra-early to accommodate our schedules, dispensed very helpful advice (to make sure one had Machu Picchu tickets in advance!), and kindly and efficiently arranged arrival and departure... This hostel in the San Blas area of Cuzco was quiet, and the owner was very sweet. The private matrimonial suite had a lovely view and the bed was very comfortable. Didn't wake early enough for the breakfast, and never really used the shower (our one try resulted in about 3 minutes of warm water followed by ice cold- but... More

Maria, the owner is a really sweet and caring woman who made our stay very pleasant since the beginning. She arranged cab pickups for us at the airport and let us have a very early check in with no extra charge. The room had beautiful views of Cusco. After the first night we woke up very late since we were... More

We used the Kuntur Wasi as our base camp in Cuzco while we were doing acclimatization hikes around the city (5 nights), and after our Ausangate trek (1 night). The hotel location is fine, near Saksayhuaman, the San Blas restaurants and pastry shops, and within walking distance of the Plaza de Armas. The shower is hot; hotel is clean but... More

We booked in Kuntur Wasi on the basis of all the positive reviews on this site. We arrived early at around 5:30 am and were allowed to check in as pre arranged. We were two couples and were unfortunately shown different types of matrimonial rooms for the same price - one being far better than the other. (we got the... More
