Stayed 4 nights in early november 09. Hotel failed to pick us up at the airport which made our welcome very sour indeed - caught an overpriced urine-reeking cab to the hotel instead. Receptionists at hotel seemed blase and dumbfounded - they apparently had organised a transfer which didnt bother looking for us. Despite clear instructions (in spanish) they failed... more

A lovely hotel in an excellent location, just a few minutes walk from Cusco's main square. Decent breakfast every morning. Noise can be an issue if you're a light sleeper, but earplugs blocked out everything for me. Held our bags while we spent three days away and had them back in our room on our return. I want to thank... more

Dear dr_grad, Thank you very much for your nice review which will certainly help our present and future guests. I wanted to let you know that we are in the process of selecting soundproof windows and doors for the hotel, in order to improve that matter. Best regards and thank you again. Antoine Hamel

Great little hotel close to centre. Couldn't really fault it. Attractive, pleasant staff, good breakfast. Had an outside room ( some look into the covered courtyard/reception). Room clean and very acceptable. They stored our bags whilst we were away for the night at Machu Picchu.Had a bit of style about it.No hesitation in recommending it. more

Pretty good

My experience at Los Apus was a positive one. It was extremely clean, the room and bed were very comfortable and the staff were friendly and helpful. My room was internal (room 205) and was quite noisy as it overlooked reception and the breakfast area. I also heard some others with rooms overlooking the street saying that their room was... more

Dear guest, Thank you very much for taking some of your time to write this review. I wanted to let you know that we have started today to install carpets in the lobby and corridors, part of our plan to enhance the soundproof aspect of the entire hotel, and that will include new windows and doors to every room very...

Very small and friendly hotel with individual rooms with a very Spanish flavour - wooden staircases and balconies. The room was small and a little basic but attractive and clean. Breakfast was okay but the whole experience was good because of the staff and decor more

The quaint Los Apus Hotel is a true little jewel encrusted a few blocks from Plaza de Armas in Cuzco. The hotel is located in a beautiful Cuzco style mansion (Inca style mixed with Spanish colonial architecture) only a few blocks from the city’s main square. The location is perfect for the city as you will be in proximity to... more

We ended up here by chance, and liked the way the hotel had preserved some nice traditional looks, but was still comfortable. Good shower/bathroom, safe for valuables in the room, good breakfast up on the terrace. In our view a perfect location, short walking distance from Plaza de Armas and other sights, but just far enough to be a bit... more

We were very pleased with the staff at the Hotel Apus; everyone we dealt with was cheerful, polite and willing to help in any way. Breakfast service was very good. We were always offered eggs to order and coffee was excellent. We stayed in room 305. The room was comfortable and the bath had plenty of hot water. The location... more

While the rooms are clean and most of the staff are nice, the hotel is extremely noisy. You can hear breakfast in the glass covered atrium/reception area (which starts at 5am, as well as street noise and hallway noise). Upon check-out, they had no record of our first night's pre-payment, which we sent weeks in advance online. Thankfully we were... more

Dear guest, I'm sorry to hear about your inconvenience with the taxi. I would like to explain that they are not employees of the hotel but external service that we hire. From now on, we will have the taxi driver sign a reciept for the fare, and we will give a copy of it directly to our guests, so there...

Out of the 10 nights we spent in Peru, we found this hotel had the most comfortable rooms. The room was spacious, had 2 beds, and a nice bathroom. There was no window to the outside - the window looked out into the corridor. The hotel let us store our luggage for 2 nights while we traveled to Ollantaytambo. They... more
