Over the years, I have stayed many wonderful places in Cusco, but, I really must say that El Balcon is my favorite. There are many things about this hotel that make it special. It is unique and beautiful. You will know you are in Cusco. The hotel is antique and has been redone, but, not too much. It retains it... More

We stayed in El Balcon for a week in February and our experience was perfect!! The staff was fantastic and super friendly and they help us a lot while my husband was sick with altitude sickness...Bottle of water every morning in our room and they would do our beds too. Breakfast is included and it was delicious...eggs, bread, ham, cheese,... More

As a hostel I loved this place, such friendly accommodating staff, great breakfast in the morning, beautiful view of the Cusco from the second floor balcony/walkway. They offer coca tea when you arrive as altitude sickness is a very real thing and it's available all day/night in their dining room along with an assortment of other teas. The only con... More

My fiancé and I stayed at El Balcon as our "base" in Cusco, while we went on a short trip to Puno and eventually trekked the Inca Trail. We stayed in three different rooms, and each was absolutely beautiful. The quality and authenticity are unparalleled, and the staff answered all of our questions and went out of their way every... We stayed here for a week in September. The staff were exceptionally helpful and responsive. The hotel is picturesque and the rooms basic but comfortable. It was a great last-minute find, very near the Plaza de Armas , and very good value. The wifi worked best down in or near the breakfast room. You should be aware that there are... More

Two of my girl friends and I (age 30) stayed at El Balcon for 4 nights during our stay in Cusco. We had such a wonderful experience! Its a colonial house that has been transformed into a small guest house. The short walk from the reception to our room, through the small garden, is very peaceful - great place to... More

I spent nearly two weeks in Cusco and found El Balcon to be the perfect home away from home. The staff were so warm and attentive - they feel more like family and had sucha positive energy! Breakfast cooked to order and accommodating for whenever we woke up that day, and always available coca tea and delicious tinto coffee really... More

After staying almost two weeks we came away completely in love with El Balcon. The staff are wonderful especially the manager Pablo, they made our stay. The garden is spectacular, full of flowers and a joy to sit in with panoramic views of the city. The location couldn't be more convenient with Plaza de Armas just a couple of blocks... More

We spent 5 nights at El Balcon. We we referred to El Balcon by friends who had earlier stayed there. The location is great and in safe area (near the police station). At the same time it is close walking distance to Central Plaza and the restaurant scene. The lodging includes breakfast which is delicious and always made fresh to... More

I've spend 6 nights in EL Balcon Cuzco. The place has a quite interesting architecture. It's a colonial house from 17h century with a lovely garden. The personnel is very friendly from management to reception, better attitude than large chain hotel. It is close to the main plaza, a supermarket within 5 minutes waking. If you want a good value...
