I've spend 6 nights in EL Balcon Cuzco. The place has a quite interesting architecture. It's a colonial house from 17h century with a lovely garden. The personnel is very friendly from management to reception, better attitude than large chain hotel. It is close to the main plaza, a supermarket within 5 minutes waking. If you want a good value... We recently spent 3 nights at Hostel el Balcon. Close to Plaza de Armas in Cusco. Fernando & Juanita were wonderful to us and were willing to help with any of our requests. Fernando called ahead to confirm three of our reservations. He also arranged the car to take us to Pisac, no problema! The calle they are on is... More

Very charming and conveniently located, a great base for exploring Cusco and surrounding areas. Comfortable beds, space heaters work just fine to heat rooms on cold nights, hot water always available though the temp did vary. Helpful staff, great breakfast. Good for getting ready for trecking grocery store only a block away. cheap last minute camping gear within 2 blocks.... More

We stayed here for a week. What a view of the plaza, especially early morning and at night! Pre-columbian artifacts fill the courtyard. There was a lovely breakfast each morning. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Its location is a mixed bag. It is a 5 - 10 minute walk to the main plaza, up on a hill that... More

We stayed with our two 20 year old kids in the family suite. It was tight for us, but didn't spend much time in the room. We would stay there again. The view was beautiful and we were there during festival so it was very loud in Cusco all night, but we were happy to be away from the commotion.... More

We stayed here for 3 nights in cusco. It is very conveniently located to the plaza de armas. The staff speaks little English but they were quite friendly. When my daughter got sick on the rug in her room , they were very kind in helping us clean up and I wasn't made to feel badly about it. The woman... More

I booked for four nights at short notice and was happy to stay in a smaller room for three nights before I went to Machu Picchu. The room itself ( No 17) was very comfortable with warm bedding and a lovely hot shower. The one negative was that being close to Reception it was noisy early in the morning. On... More

Convenient location with good price. Originally a colonial family home retaining the colonial atmosphere. Staff go the extra mile to ensure a good stay, Traditional Peruvian breakfast. Proximity to Plaza de Armas a distinct advantage.

We stayed at the hotel for 4 nights. had a big room with a fantastic view and balcony. The Internet worked very well. The garden beautiful, and the staff made us feel at home. Breakfast was fine and the laundry service very cheap. We would like to return to this hotel!!

What a find! Only 2.5 blocks from the plaza de armas, located on a quiet street, sits this gem of an Inn. Upon entering you find yourself in a garden oasis. Rooms look out to the garden and the view of the city below. We stayed 5 nights here in two different rooms. The rooms were well designed with tasteful... More
