We stayed at the hotel ruinas while on a holiday of a lifetime to celebrate our 25th Wedding Anniversary - we had at this point already stayed in hotels in Arequipa and on Lake Titicaca - our room was on the 2nd floor with a view of rubbish filled back yards, but the view wasn't the problem. The room had... more

Services at Hotel Ruinas is one of the best I have ever experienced. I had traveled to many countries and I found that Hotel Ruinas is one of the hotel that provides the best services. I stayed at Ruinas for 3 nights and the staff were very friendly, willing to help on any issues/questions you might have. My friend had... more

This hotel was the most expensive for our trip to Peru but it was well worth it (3-star). Upon arrival, we started off well as we were welcomed with some coca tea to help with the altitude and vouchers for 2 free pisco sours to be used later at our leisure. The location was superb as it was 1 block... more

I have just returned from a 2 week holiday in Peru and stayed here for 4 nights. I found it a very pleasant place to stay with no complaints at all. Great location with everything you want within walking distance.Internet cafe`s,shops, restaurants and bars all on the same street with many more in Playa del Armes the main square which is... more

I stayed here in 2004 and although I was reasonably comfortable the hotel lacks charm. It had a very modern sterile design and didn't have a lovely courtyard that many other hotels had. I had a smallish twin room that overlooked the roofs of the city. The room had a decent sized bathroom but the loo/toilet kept on blocking and... more

A nice hotel, well-located in Cusco, only a few minutes walk from both the Plaza de Armas and the cobblestone lanes of San Blas. This is a modern hotel that does not try to be very stylish. We had no problem with the rather standard-looking design, but some people might find it a bit characterless. Our 2nd floor room had... more

I am not normally the dissenting voice, but based on previous good reviews here I am forced in to that position! Hotel Ruinas is a perfectly acceptable establishment which I think tries to slot itself in to the mid/upper quality bracket. But it just fails to achieve that.. First off, given the fact that one is in Cuzco, surrounded by... more

A very good 3 star hotel with 4 star employees. Had lots of short stays here between trips and had lovely service storing bags and we were even collected from the airport. Great location a short walk from Plaza de Armas, opposite an Internet cafe and laundry for the essential emails and washing. Breakfast was a fine selection of almost... more

This is a wonderful, quaint little hotel in a great location with wonderful customer service. I was able to make my reservations via e-mail prior to leaving the U.S. The hotel also made all of my tour arrangements for Machupicchu, again, via e-mail prior to me leaving the U.S. The rate included breakfast for two, transfers both ways between the... more

Stayed for a week and was very pleased. The hotel is clean and the staff is very kind. We were picked up at the airport by three people including the driver. Upon reaching the hotel we scheduled activites with Leskov for our entire trip including water rafting, Machu Picchu (train, hotel, food and bus tickets), para-gliding and tours of the... more
