We stayed here 2 nights and really liked it. Only complaint is same as another reviewer about the lack of sufficient warmth in the room/bathroom. Reception has a sign about basic breakfast from 4-6am but non-existent. Courtyard is very dark in the early morning, you have to flick on lights to go downstairs and they turn off before you get... Place is ideal for couples spending a few days in Cusco. Location is very convenient, clean, beautiful building and extremely friendly staff. Marco the guy at the front desk was very handy. Check-in at 13:00 and check out at 10:00. Breakfast included. They also have a nice restaurant. Worth the money! The downside.. It can be quite noisy at nights.

We stayed here on both sides of our Inca trail hike, and for the most part really enjoyed it. The hotel is beautiful, with clean comfy rooms. Breakfast is delicious, and served in a lovely room with great sunlit views of the neighborhood. Most of the staff were very helpful and accommodating, but the guy who checked us in didn't... More

Hotel had a great location if you are wanting to be close to the Plaza de Armas, without all the noise and people. The walk is about a 5 minute stroll to the Plaza. The staff was very helpful, courteous and accommodating of our bags when we arrived early and while we were away on our 4 day Inca Trail... More

We happened upon this hotel by accident (and out of necessity since the hotel we were initially booked to stay in gave away the room we wanted). We wandered into the courtyard of Hotel Arquelogo and were met by Victor, the front desk clerk. He was polite and very helpful. He showed us the only available room he had and... More

I really enjoyed this hotel. I was coming off of a tour and wanted to stay somewhere nicer than the hotels you stay at in groups. This was perfect. It's a boutique hotel in an old colonial mansion, so there is a lot of character. The rooms are cold in the winter, but they have central heating (one of our... More

It's a pity, because this hotel tries to be charming but it fails absolutely. It looks kind of ramshackle with dirty and cold rooms. We found blood stains on the conforter and a couple of insects in the bathroom. I would look elsewhere next time. Very good WiFi.

A beautiful little hotel with lots of personality a few steps above plaza nazarenas. It is close to everything you need to walk cusco in peace. Near map cafe, pizzerias and good shopping but also far enough from the noise of plaza de armas. But its the amazing staff that make this place stand out. Truly first class personel in... More

Hotel Arqueologo was a truly welcoming, comfortable place to stay after daytime treks in and around Cuzco. Centrally located, we also made this our return base after trekking Machu Picchu before flying back to Lima (6 days in total in Cuzco). Great breakfast, helpful front desk staff, lovely hot water showers! Carlos y Carlos provided wonderful service at Divina Comedia,... More
