Hotel Arqueologo is what you need in Cusco. A colonial building built around a central courtyard with rooms modernized but without losing character. Great breakfasts to set you right before an active day around the sights of Cusco. Staff are very friendly and helpful and even provide a lesson in how to make a great Pisco sour. Elvis, Erika and... Rooms: We booked the suite room so we were on a loft. The bathrooms were on the ground floor so it was quite bit of a struggle going up and down the stairs to go to the bathroom while acclimatizing. Nevertheless, the room was very spacious, the bed was very very comfortable and the bathroom was adequately sized with all... More

We arrived in Cusco at 6:00 a.m. and they gave us a room to take a nap in while our room was readied. Wow. Very pretty, nice rooms, reasonable price, very helpful and friendly staff. We stayed there at the front and back ends of our hike and were glad we did.

excellent service and rooms with excellent showers. In the hotel works very kind people and have a good breakfast, David was very nice with the service. The hotel is only two block for the plaza, so you can walk there. Totally recommended!

we loved our experience with this hotel! In the bustling city of Cuzco, it was a calm oasis as soon as we stepped into the courtyard. Breakfast room in back was delightful, with 3 walls of windows gazing out onto the hills of Cuzco for miles in every direction. The hotel aesthetic is all charm, and it felt like visiting... More

I arrived at the hotel around 8:00 pm, tired but happy that I had succeeded without hurting myself on the four day Inca Trail adventure. The receptionist greeted me, quickly checked me in and offered me a complimentary card to get a beverage at their bar. After dropping off my luggage and taking a look around my room, which I... This hotel is such a great value for the money! The staff was pleasant and accommodating (despite not speaking much English, combined with our lack of Spanish), and our room was basic, but really great. We had a second floor room overlooking a quiet garden and the bedroom was upstairs via a spiral staircase, making it feel really exotic and... More

Great quiet room in central old Cusco location. With a reasonably comfortable & large bed & good Illy coffee in the room!(sadly no instructions on how it worked) Quite a good breakfast in nice terrace with city views. Only fault with room, apart from a leaking shower with water pooling on the floor, was the large skylight above the bed.... More

We stayed here a total of four nights - 3 nights before the Inca Trail and one night afterwards. I was very happy with our choice. The hotel itself has an eclectic vibe to the inner courtyard. It's comfortable and welcoming without being pretentious or feeling at all downscale - a perfect balance. Staff were welcoming, helpful, and for the... More
